Although the boot system has it's flaws, you must admit it does well for a half-automated judicial system. Besides, as long as you actually try to avoid betraying your allies, you should rarely betray anyone, and get booted even less.

Why include friendly fire in the first place?Makes things more interesting, immersive, and logical. I like it, even if I get killed by some careless allies once in a while, or have to deal with the occasional troll. Besides, trolls be trolls.

When you betray someone, they get the boot option. When someone betrays you, you don't get the boot option.It's based on betrayal history. A reason why I love it. It seems that as long as you're fair, and don't betray, you're more likely to get the boot option. On my main account, before I stopped playing, I sometimes received multiple betrayal boot messages when a player betrayed me.
