Oh yeah, since somebody does not believe what YOU believe; that makes us vapid...
I cannot grasp that what you call "Something happened to nothing, and that nothing became something, and it was smaller than than a period."

No they aren't, and I still wonder why 343 hasn't ever let us even try some Reach multiplayer with friendly fire turned off.

  • 08.07.2012 11:33 AM PDT

Now day...wait...nvm i'm tired.

Sometimes, but it's still broken.

  • 08.07.2012 11:45 AM PDT

Matt

It should be if they shoot me first I should be able to kill them without getting booted.

It would decrease the skill gap for sure. You should have to THINK about what you're doing when you throw nades. You shouldn't be able to spam them wildly with no consequences.

I have mixed feelings about it. When I get betrayed for a sniper and can't boot the person that pisses me off very much.

I think it's bull that when a team mate betrays me for sniper and I betray him back he gets the boot option and I don't.

  • 08.07.2012 4:01 PM PDT

My brother stickied someone who sprinted around a corner into a teammate. He got betrayed for that. What is worse than the betrayal system is the players need to press x when the betrayal screen comes up.

People don't do that already? I die by friendly grenades all the time.

global warming isn't proven and won't be - it's more of a political play for funding for "research"

When you betray someone, they get the boot option.

When someone betrays you, you don't get the boot option.

The 343 forums suck. They're full of retarded kids and mods who got butthurt in the B.net forums for being told that they're bad.

Why are you shooting at someone when your teammate's Banshee is right next to him?

Why include friendly fire in the first place?

On occasion, but most of the time, no.

I've had games where randoms would betray over and over and over again to never be booted because I or anyone else even got the option, but there were games where an obvious mistake or situation happens to where you are booted without question.

Idiots assume that because they were given the option to boot, the perpetrator MUST have done it on purpose, because you know, it's possible for a game to read the players minds and their intentions.

There was one game where an idiot walked in front of me while I was sniping, and he booted me, even though I was carrying the whole team. I like to imagine they lost the game because he did that.

Winner of the 2012 Lurker of the Year award.

I'm watching you.

In a sense, it is fair since it treats every player individually based on their betrayal history. Sure is still has its flaws, but if you're expecting a perfect system to takes its place it's not going to happen. No system in any game will ever be able to read the player's mind and determine their intentions.

Just be thankful it's not as bad as it was during the first couple of weeks after the game released. Anyone here still remember that? One betrayal = instant boot option. No exceptions.

Although the boot system has it's flaws, you must admit it does well for a half-automated judicial system. Besides, as long as you actually try to avoid betraying your allies, you should rarely betray anyone, and get booted even less.

Makes things more interesting, immersive, and logical. I like it, even if I get killed by some careless allies once in a while, or have to deal with the occasional troll. Besides, trolls be trolls.

A reason why I love it. It seems that as long as you're fair, and don't betray, you're more likely to get the boot option. On my main account, before I stopped playing, I sometimes received multiple betrayal boot messages when a player betrayed me.

They should pull a COD and do Friendly Fire ricochet, where the damage is reflected back onto the person who fired, at a reduced extent.

That way, you can't betray your teammates, but you won't randomly spam grenades without thinking, either.

Games I like:,
Half-Minute Hero
MBU
Portal
Halo 3 is the best Halo ever
Maps I like: Turf, Avalanche, Pylon, Sandbox, Breakpoint and many more.

Opinions are like butholes. Everyone's got one, nobody wants to hear about it.

It's unfair.

I've been booted too many times by people betraying me for a power weapon and when I decide to defend myself by killing them after I've been betrayed around 2 or 3 times, I get booted.

  • 08.10.2012 10:13 AM PDT

Perhaps they should reinvent the system? Accidents to happen, and generally you should rarely be able to be booted after one betrayal.

The whole 'I get betrayed and get "revenge" then I get booted' is annoying too. I think 'An eye for an eye' rule would be better. So maybe if somebody betrayed you twice in a row without you getting "revenge" you would get the option to boot.

What about other option than just booting. Maybe more handicapping than a longer respawn time?

  • 08.10.2012 10:29 AM PDT

The Internet is an empowerment tool that's agnostic; it doesn't care about race, gender, or age.

Play with friends so if it's an accident you don't get booted. The system seems fair to me.

  • 08.10.2012 11:36 AM PDT

I think they are quite fair. Just last night I got in the tank at the start of the game and immediately shot 3 guys in the rocket hog and then 2 more guys in the warthog. They booted me almost instantly.
