To be honest, with the New Hawtness possibly on the horizon, I have a feeling that the title system won't last much longer anyway.
I think there will still be a title system. It will just be different.

Very true, but we don't know if our current titles will carry over just yet.

True we don't but I have a feeling the base trust number for titles will stay with us through the transition.

I am sad that the OP replied to everyone expect me.

Anyways, ZEROC00L is correct that you will only receive one message from the Soul, unless we want to PM as well. You can also see this Most Recent Moderation History in your profile.

With warnings, you can lose a base title or prefix. However, I believe you may have lost a title due to your lack of posting between the dates of August 1-August 6.

I want your prefix. Give it to me.

Appealing a warning is like rushing to the emergency room for a mosquito bite, or driving your car off a cliff because you ran a red light.

I love similies. They are rad. Perhaps you can all make up some of your own.

In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

"If only, if only,"
The woodpecker sighs,
"The bark on the trees was as soft as the skies."
While the wolf waits below, hungry and lonely;
Crying to the moon,
"If only, if only."

It's like getting mad at the police officer for letting you off with a warning.

Actually, this is the digital version of exactly that.

Except now every digital police officer knows he was warned and it didn't stay between the cop and the driver.

It is ike if the cop went into his car and said:

"Be on a look out for license plate ##### - 777 for future violations".

Being an employee and posting in any given thread in the Flood is like throwing french fry onto an ant hill.

Sure, the ant hill is a little more yellow now, but it'll soon be swarmed by an incessant group of close-to-mindless beings doing what is natural to them. Those beings will also totally stop focusing on building either their ant hill or the tunnel system therein, and will completely focus on that yellow object that is just so fun to be a part of.

It will likely still be here in one form or another, it certainly promotes activity, good or bad.

Why do I find this reply so ironic.

They do keep track of warnings. It doesn't affect your chance of getting pulled over again but they can see if you've had one.

Already made a good (I think) On-Topic response that covers pretty much all there is to say on the subject, and there's really no debate to be had on the subject.

Why not stop by my File Share while you're here?

~Long Live Halo 2
Only regret is I didn't play more of it.

If you haven't noticed by now, I'm sort of a jerk.

I've been Warned twice for the same post before, however, it was from two different mods, and only a few hours apart. Never heard when it's been days apart, if this is true.
Edit: And I guess it's not true.

What exactly is wrong with that notion/feature? The whole point of board moderation is to enforce rules, keep the boards "clean", and dole out appropriate punishments for violations.

Using your own analogy, this means that if a digital cop pulls over a digital speeder, said speeder can't say "this is the first time I've ever exceeded the speed limit officer" and get off if he had been caught speeding before. It also means that said speeder need not be arrested if they weren't going too fast, because they'll be let off with a warning.

OT: I still only see one warning. Also, warnings can't be removed anyway, so this thread is pretty moot past asking if you can appeal warnings. Answer: no.

I lol'd at the absurd miscommunication that occurs whenever dibbs post something. Perhaps his brain is so highly evolved that he can no longer clearly communicate with lesser life forms, even among his own species.

I dislike analogies because they're often used poorly; either to simply an issue that isn't simple or to compare the unfamiliar with the more familiar. Either way, it's lazy thinking (and, let's be honest, policing an internet forum is quite a bit different from actual policing).

Anyway, just a plea to discuss things as they actually are.

This world wants to drag you down... And the weight, that guilt they want to hang around your neck, you don’t have to carry it one more step. You think they won’t let you rest, but it’s not up to them. It never was.

Warnings don't put much of a dent in your title progress. I got the "Honorable" title 3 months after being warned.
