bungie.net stylish page

It basically lays out all the different version of logos that Bungie uses for our public use. You can download the image files with the given links provided for everyone. Pretty awesome, I can see some neat uses for these.

Thanks for putting this up Bungie!

I think it was put up around March 30th when the FAQ and CoC and ToU were updated. Not sure though.

I don't entirely get it though, are they saying you can't ever use Bungie's imagine like that or just not commercially? I don't see how it could be regulated if it was just like photoshopped images for comedy or art, etc.

I understand nothing because my life is a conspiracy.

Stumbled across this a month ago or so. Pretty cool, though.

Perhaps Bungie wants third parties to use their logo correctly if they are going to use them at all. I guess that makes since, that kind of mentality is the exact reason I was hesitant to use the logo for the Bungie Community Army BF3 server.

Style Guides are very common in practically anything with a logo. If you are or have been in college, you can probably find their style guide as well. This is primarily tailored toward the press and journalists.

This is not a legally-enforced guide (see usage of the word "please" in many sentences). It just tries to enforce professional use of the Bungie logo (as well as its variants) in the media. Basically saying that the design principles are "attached" to the logo and should be followed if you want to use it properly.

That said, people should use this guide, even for fan art, etc. like you presented, because it's the right way to use the logo.

You imply a level of control over Halo: Reach matchmaking that we no longer have. Or, in your vernacular, it isn't our shiznit anymore.
