Speaking of chuckles, let's all lol at IonicPaul, who makes friends with bugs to make up for his lack of human contact.

I post less than I used to. Mainly it's that I don't argue on the Reach forums anymore.

...Probably a good thing, actually.

*scratches nuts*

I haven't checked the front page for about a year

I've finally adapted to hunt in the dark using sonar to detect my prey.

The extended darkness will make the light all the more dazzling when it comes.

They taught me to believe in a thing called love while listening to the rhythm of my heart. Nothing but positive has come out of their advice, except maybe this cocaine addiction...

@spaboolly

I actually kind of like it. The game forums, when they were a huge focus of the site, were rather intimidating in a way. Now, rather than being focused on Bungie's games, the users are more focused on the community itself. It gave people time to branch out and get to know each other, outside of Halo (though Halo is still a strong connection for many people).

In some weird way, The Darkness may actually have been a small blessing in disguise. Moving on from Halo was inevitable for Bungie. It's nice that the community can still show its strength while they wait for the next big announcement from our benevolent overlords.

I am completely sick and tired of people mentioning the 'darkness'.

Seriously, get a -blam!- hobby.

Et Eärello Endorenna utúlien.
Sinome maruvan ar Hildinyar.
tenn' Ambar-metta!

It hasn't affected me at all, I got other games to play, work, my own projects, life is good so far and it will get better when Bungie releases their new universe.

Which is both good and bad.

It has given me a homely feeling that I will miss when everything gets active again.

Come on over to Moving Up for your primary help and Q&A source.

"A wizard is never late, nor is he early. He arrives precisely when he means to."

I rarely come here because of a hostile community, lack of certain features and nothing to discuss. So, it's been much better.

In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

Judging by the forum threads I would say the darkness has driven some people to madness.

I remember when I used this space to put cool looking links to my chapters back in the day. I don't even know why I'm using it now. Why are you even reading this? You must be interested in me. Still reading?

Honestly, I have been visiting more often now than I have in the last year or so because I feel like we are right on the edge of something new. Whether is be a website update/overhaul or an announcement about Destiny, even a tiny hint, it has kept me coming back more often.

I don't find myself checking b.net after a big friday night out any more. I always enjoyed reading the updates in a drunken stupor, and then re-reading them on Saturday morning to make sure I didn't miss anything =D

  • 08.09.2012 4:09 PM PDT

Going dark is lame. The site is more boring because the BWUs stopped and there's nothing substantial to talk about. I'm looking forward to an increase in information flow from Bungie. :)

I spend too much time here.. too much time indeed.

I tweet?

I'm using the downturn of activity on the forums to increase everyone's awareness of my existence here.

Honestly though, nothing's really changed for me. I post the same I've always posted, I visit with the same frequency. Though I guess I don't really visit the homepage any more, I come directly to the forums now.

I'm trying to become an '04, but it's not working too well."

Every time someone says 'the darkness', i can't help but watch the entire chapelle skit.

As far as the darkness, almost nothing has changed
I come here to talk to my buds and speculate on games.
