Subject: Community Projects: The Community Calendar (Up and running!)

What a hipster.

Please Note: The purpose of this thread is to be sidebar'd, giving the entire Community a quick, easy, way to view all the Community events and projects in the upcoming future. Please save this thread.
The Community Calendar
Original idea inspired by Hylebos :Here:
Second idea was helped by Spawn031: As carried out in Private Groups:
The Calendar is currently run and maintained by Zoobkillerninja and Commander GX

For your viewing pleasure, I give you :THE COMMUNITY CALENDAR:

Introduction:
Do you ever find yourself longing to play a game with some chill people online? How about getting a bunch of people to play the game you want to play? Maybe even experience something like you never have before?

We've got you covered, on all bases. Introducing The Community Calender!

This calender is an awesome piece of work created by a few of our fellow members. It was made in the vision that anybody on this website could find a game to play with others, in a game of their choosing. It might seem complicated at first, but luckily all you have to do is check on it every so often if you're looking to game with some junkies!

The simple design allows you to see any up-and-coming game threads before they're posted to the main forums! You really can't get much better than that!

This, Community, we offer to you with open arms. This is our baby, and we want you to be a part of its life. Please, try not to drop it.

What's this thing do again?

The Community Calendar is a quick way to see and appreciate all the Community work being done - right front of you. With this tool, groups can see when other groups are getting ready to release projects and ideas - so two or more schedules don't land on the same day. It's better to get one project out every day, rather than to have three items on Wednesday and nothing else - especially through these dark times.

:Currently being updated in affiliation with the Community Carnage, Community Joes, and Community Projects groups. [More to come]

I can get my event on The Calendar?

Yes! It's simple really, just PM either Zoobkillerninja or myself and we'd be happy to put it up for you (and/or your group). We're not limiting the amount of Events or Projects the list holds; this is a calendar for the entire Community - it's not our decision - you make the decisions for the calendar, not us. We just happen to apply them.

Alright. What else you got?

All dates posted are the dates the threads and or events are being released to the public (release dates), except in the Carnages case. If you see an event you want to sign up for, you will now know the date the event will be posted. Consider this Calendar your little edge over the rest ;).

Note: The Breaking In articles seem too unpredictable at times, so we'll add them as we go.

Thanks for all the support everyone!

All counter-arguments to evolution are based on a gross misunderstanding of the theory.

Each item should have a link to an appropriate thread.

For example, I had no idea there was a TF2 carnage coming up. So when I click on it, I should have access to a signup thread or something.

Seems like a good idea but we have one problem the thread has not been posted yet. This is just letting you know what to expect for this month. "preparation for the future"

I came into this expecting a Calendar made by the community dedicated to Bungie.net. All I got was this lousy link.

Anyways, Nice post OP.

In that case, someone should edit the appropriate link into the calendar once the thread is created. Or, at the very least, link us to the leader of event so we can contact him/her and get some info on the shindig.

I've supplied links to the groups we are currently updating the Calendar with in affiliation to. If you find anything in specific you're interested in, it should be a breeze to find the leader or man in charge of the event in the groups provided. Other than that, the Community Forum is a slow moving forum and you should have no problem finding the links on your own if we're supplying the dates for you.

If you have any event questions feel free to send me a PM and I'll give you your answers straight away.

It might not be the perfect calendar, but it was the best I could find with my budget of zero. I'll go looking for a better host calendar later this evening if enough people feel strongly about it.

It does what a calendar is supposed to do, it gives the dates.

Nice idea, looks good. Think ill save this to help it hit top forum topics.

Just a suggestion, can it be colour coded? just to distinguish between types of content - game nights, bungie info, public events etc.

At the moment we are looking for a better host for the calender that has more capabilities like you said.
