Subject: What have you learned?

This is the way the world ends,
This is the way the world ends,
This is the way the world ends;
Not with a bang but a whimper.

While on Bungie.net, what is the most interesting (and idyllically useful) piece of information you have learned that was not related to a Bungie game? Personally, I was linked to an interesting article about the Westermarck effect. If I hadn't learned about it from economics, the Tragedy of the Commons would have been my first choice.

Notice: I posted this in the community forum because it seemed to adhere to the following: The Bungie Community Forum is for all topics directly related to the Bungie community itself, the Bungie.net community, and the Bungie.net website. It is related to both the Bungie Community and Bungie.net. If this should have been posted elsewhere, feel free to either lock it or move it at your leisure.

All counter-arguments to evolution are based on a gross misunderstanding of the theory.

I was a bit of an angsty teenager when I joined.

The bans I got back then were probably pretty influential on my character, in a good way.

Also, writing skills improved.

I learned how to spell and use proper grammar. Also learned a lot about the gaming industry.

Most likely this.

I also learned more about people and video games.

Oh yeah, since somebody does not believe what YOU believe; that makes us vapid...
I cannot grasp that what you call "Something happened to nothing, and that nothing became something, and it was smaller than than a period."

I've learned many things while here.
I'd say that either the expansion of my knowledge of the internet, or my increase of typing-speed and shortcut keys, is the greatest thing I've learned here so far.

So far, this article has to be the most insightful thing I've ever read and learned about on this site.

It really goes into how some people feel that the world around them is like the "Matrix" in that it doesn't really exist. I like how it goes into the "who really has consciousness?" debate as well.

It may be related to Destiny but you can't prove it so ima say it :D,

Trawling through wiki pages on 'Geomancy' was quite interesting. :P

Case and point: don't worry about it. Girls start getting boobies pretty soon, and then you'll have plenty of other things to think about. Being an Inheritor is not a life goal.

I learned that all my problems could have been solved had I tried xbox.com first. Or was it xbox.com? I don't remember what website the Flood kept telling me to go to.

Well at least someone reads my posts...

I learn about all kinds of things here. Not so sure if I can point to any one thing, though :-)
