It was once said that a million monkeys at a million keyboards could reproduce the works of shakespeare... Now thanks to the internet we know that this is not true

...in game.

Take this image

in the black circle is the red with white spot I was talking about

Notice the man sitting on the right with the headphones on.

Look at his desk. His keyboard and the soda cans on his desk

They all are being covered with a bright red reflection.

The exact same shade of red as seen on the new monarchy logo.

if you also look at the very front of his desk where it curves you will see one spot where the red reflection lets up a little and you see a whiter color.

This leads me to believe that in that picture for whatever reason there was a big new monarchy logo on screen. My bet is that he was sitting at a loading screen.

Indeed. But I think this shows that the "factions" are pivotal to game play. and that for whatever reason that dude had a large nw monarchy logo on his screen

An interesting speculation, but without more detail it's quite figuratively grasping at straws.

  • 08.09.2012 12:58 AM PDT

Key

My bet is that there are much more compelling pieces of evidence than this one that factions will play an active role in game. And how does this prove they're an active role? Because they appear one time, for an indeterminately short or long amount of time? No.

Which is why I labeled this thread "Supporting" and not "Conclusive" evidence.

You would think that the avatars and themes they released on Bungie Day were a dead giveaway that 'factions' where a central part of their next game.

At that point ( and even now ) we are not 100% sure that they are factions. They could be part of a massive ARG for all we know. But this is another piece of evidence that shows that whatever they are, They are in the game. and important.

That's the thing. You're saying that it's supporting evidence of an incredible amount of in-game involvement. This is not so. It only sorta kinda may possibly imply a little bit of kinda sorta involvement. If that.

Could have been a screensaver, wallpaper, or anything else not having to do with Destiny. But the question was rhetorical. My point being that we have so little to even speculate on. The distorted reflection of what could be the primary color of one frame of what might be a test version of Destiny is a incredibly weak basis for any sort of theory.

That's what I'm saying; basically that I don't see a point in this thread mainly because there are much more compelling pieces of evidence.

It's like, in a murder case of someone being killed in Chicago on a street corner, and at some point there's video evidence of the murder being done by a specific person at that street corner. But, a month later, you also find that the murderer owns a television that could have possibly been maybe bought from the Best Buy that also happens to be 3 blocks away from the murder scene, and you make it seem like a big deal.

The amount of difference in the importance of the pieces of evidence is so severe that even regarding the latter finding as evidence in the case (or, here, in the discussion) is silly by comparison.

I think it's more that the new generation (myself included in there) mostly have heard about the epic events for recent Bungie games (I Love Bees, Superintendent Bot posting in green text, etc.) and they all want to be that person who finds that big clue that sparks off an ARG or that one person who finds a secret to Destiny that they jump at lots of stuff they normally wouldn't.

They've got two strikes, there's two outs, and they're swinging at anything close.

Honestly, this must be a joke. Child, listen, stop trying to defend yourself because clearly you are incapable of it. The only idiot in this thread is yourself, and trust me, it is obvious. So, how about you do as I asked earlier and log off, mommy and daddy wouldn't want you staying up this late.

You forgot to end it with "50/50".

I mean, it's not really your fault.

There was a 50/50 chance you would -blam!- that up. Either you would -blam!- it up, or you wouldn't.

Uh yeah. That's pretty much the exact same thing I said, albeit more in detail. Didn't completely consider some of those options, so now I'm more anxious than ever. Damn you Crazzy Snipe, damn you.

Hard to tell really. Yes it is red. But is that a low health screen. Maybe, though looks bad on trying to picture it. Frm looking at the desk. Not really sure what it is, but it is definitely red. Mayve you are right. But nothing mich is learnt more from this.
