One thing with halo 2 was introduced that i did not like what-so-ever, the fact of falling from any height and recieving either no damage or shield loss...in my opinion it would change the multiplayer quite a bit from them jumping off a tall building in order to keep from being killed...I hated it, i wish they would bring back fall damage of some sort in halo 3

no

it was easy to adapt to not having fall damage in H2 because adding something into your strategy is easy

if fall damage was re-introduced, you would have to remove the options that utilize it from your strategy and also many of the levels in halo 2 would be boring w/ fall damage

try playing headlong without ever deliberately jumping off a high ledge

No fall damage made it too easy for noobs to run from a fight.

I'd rather have a game that forced you to use skill in tight situations, not flee like a noob...

As long as there is no fall damage if you crouch at the proper time, then bring back fall damage.

they will not bring fall damage bck because it would be stupid not to have it in halo 2 then suddanly put it bck on halo 3

Think about it.
What if your playing with fall damage on Relic, Capture the Flag.
Do you know how hard it would be to get the flag of the base. There are tons of maps like this and I think there going to be tons of maps like this in Halo 3.

Funny. So it wasn't stupid to have it in Halo:CE, then all of the sudden have it taken out in 2? thats what your theory suggests

So, just crouch so you won't take as much damage.

It'll make things more intense. IMO.

Why do people keep mentioning H2's levels! Think!

halo3= new game, which most likely equals new maps!

And if that logic fails, think about this....Halo:CE had high levels too...we managed, and it was fun as hell

Falling several stories did kill you. Falling a story or two isn't going to kill you, because your in Mk VI armor. In the books several Spartans survive a crash landing at subsonic speeds several kilometers up, with no parachutes and just in their old Mk V armor.

look, they want they game to be accesable, and fall damage makes it less so

and also halo:CE's high levels were designed with fall damage in mind, Halo 2's wernt

also, the removal of fall damage was because of the improved armor, and i doubt that the MACH VII will have more primitive tech than the MACH VI

Halo 2 is the only game I have ever played in which you do not take fall damage. In real life, if I could climb K2, jump off, and not suffer the slightest wound, I would have climbed every mountain in the world by now. It's just not right. I think there should be fall damage. Argue with me if you will, but your only support for no fall damage is that Halo 2 had no fall damage and somehow Halo 2 is suddenly -perfect-

Exactly....so why do they keep mentioning H2 levels. Obviously, if Halo 3 has fall damamge, the levels will be deigned to accomodate. SO its useless to keep saying "in such and such H2 level, fall damage will suck" New game=New levels.

As far as accessibilty, i didn't see halo:ce sales suffer due to fall damage. And please don't say H2 sold more copies....yeah, I know, it was off the wind of Halo:ce and the fact it was LIVE enabled. Not becaue it didn't have fall damage or the pistol

That actually reminded me of The fall of REACH were many SPARTANS were killed when their pelican was shot down.

I agree they should at least bring it back to some degree..

Get it in your head that its just a game, in real life, do they have plasma rifles? Plasma Grenades? No, but I don't see you complaining about that.
Its a game, seriously, Halo sin't ment to be real.

Halo: Combat Evolved ultra fanboy.

I want them to bring back fall damage. If you pay attention, look down, and kneel, you can take most falls without problem. This means that it does not remove anything from your strategy, and it can ADD to your strategy by letting you force people to jump from high walkways and take damage.

Even in the books they survived, but they had massive internal damage like broken ribs or collapsed lung, think about it, ive had so many noobs and others get away with the flag due to jumping off of high buildings and not taking damage that pisses me off to a new level, Halo CE was better because it required STRATEGY, now in halo 2 jumping off high ledges and such let you get away quick and easy without dieing. I dont care how they took it out of halo 2 and put it back in halo 3. I personally thought halo 2 was not that great after it came out due to this kinda stuff, Lots of ppl decided not to play halo 2 anymore because of stuff like this.

even on the bringing somethin back from halo 1..what about the assault rifle, everyone wanted that back, now look where it got
