Lol, are you joking?

If you get good qualifications then, yes.

By the way, only certain Bungie members get custom titles/avatars and gold text.

Bye.

Isn't external testing done by contracted testing companies? If so, you wouldn't be an employee of Bungie but rather of some outsourcing test company.

I broke one of the cords for my X11s because I couldn't get past the final American course in Doritos Crash Course.

I made $1,000 a day working from home! Find out how I managed by visiting here! You wont believe how easy it is!

Now that's an idea. Maybe they could start making public betas for their games.

Oh wait, they already do that.

So, you are saying if he works really hard at testing video games he will get what he wants? Work as a game tester at bungie making as much money as an average bungie employee? All from his house? If that is true I want to be one too lol.

Yes, if you really want to be a Bungie employee and work hard at it, then you can be one.

Halo: CE Anniversary Achievement Idea
C-C-C-CANNON BREAKER!
Let Sgt. Johnson die on Halo.

Do you have experience testing software? Do you have a BS in Computer Science? Can you work over 40 hours a week on it?

I don't understand why people think testing is an easy job. If anything, it's incredibly time consuming and hard work to find and report bugs in the game.

  • 08.11.2012 7:48 PM PDT

Key

BS means Bachelor's Degree (I believe?) and not bull -blam!-. And yes, you most likely do need a degree in Computer Science to test video games. It's not just playing the game and giving feedback, it's playing 10 minutes of on part of a level for days on end finding, and reporting bugs until you hate that level with a passion.

Please, don't use foul language to make an untruthful statement. You do not need those degrees to test video games.

Key

1. It's not about patience, stop being stupid and learn to accept that you, someone who knows nothing about the video game industry in any way, shape, or form may be not as well off in the area of information as people who clearly have some semblance of what their talking about (e.g. DTA)

2. You have to have some sort of technical knowledge and understanding of how the system you're working on works and why it's happening. It's not like you fall through the floor in the third room of level 4 and you just write that down and keep playing. While not being explicitly versed in the world of game testing, I know that much.

3. Your general know-it-all attitude about something you're incredibly ignorant of shows that you clearly don't know what you're talking about and are resistant to learn the truth of the matter.
Posted by: Johnny Appleseed
So you have to go to college to have that kind of patience? That makes no sense? You have no idea what you are talking about.

Foul language? I apologize for my inappropriate use of "time consuming" and "hard work."

Seriously though, a BS in Computer Science is incredible handy when testing games. You need to figure out WHAT breaks the game. It's not just saying "Oh, the Needler broke my build!" You have to determine if the projectile is the problem, if the Needler's clip has a problem when the ammo depletes, so on and so forth.

It sounds to me as if you are pretending that a degree isn't required just so you don't have to do the work necessary to land a job at a company like Bungie.

Or you're a troll. That too.
