And yes, you most likely do need a degree in Computer Science to test video games.
No.
To be a tester? no. but its also not a walk in the park.
See the first thing? Two plus years software testing experience....I highly doubt you'vd done this, but I'd actually like to know...maybe you're older then you seem.
btw, this doesn't mean playing games, it means professional or semi-professional experience ACTUALLY testing SOFTWARE (not restricted to video games).
Now lets hit the rest shall we?
2. Strong organizational skills
3. Experience creating test cases
4. Strong communication skills
5. Strong troubleshooting ability
6. Have strong bug-writing and investigational abilities as well as be a born problem solver
7. Must be willing to execute complicated regression scenarios using multiple platforms (multi-tasking)
8. Ability to work in a cross-discipline environment with a desire to work closely with designers and engineers to verify their systems work properly in networked environments
9. Familiarity with Microsoft Office Excel, Word, and Outlook
10. Must be adaptable and willing to handle daily randomization
11. Willingness to work over 40 hours per week when necessary to ensure the quality of the project
I would like to here how you can fill all of those requirements.
I've come to realize everyone deserves a voice on here, so go for it. Maybe you are qualified...I have my doubts...but hey, I've been know to be wrong......once.
