Hmm, upon deeper inspection, it may be something completely different. This is actually really interesting and I'm trying to figure out how they did this. Whoever made a proxy dll and did this is incredibly ingenious, still not sure how they managed to fake the game type ID. I haven't finished disecting the struct and probably won't seeing as I'm busy and it isn't relevant to much after I know what it is, but there are a few IDs microsoft uses when activating a game, and somehow they found the universal ID, which I'm going to assume was a help/support feature that is activated when you call in for a key and it gives you the code over the phone. Idk really how to describe it without just posting the pdb.
Well, I guess I was wrong. This is really advanced -blam!- though, I'm surprised. Must have taken a lot of effort, sadly the game didn't get popularity.
It's not a crack in the conventional sense, it's simply a flaw in Microsoft's activation process. They have a... backdoor?... for most likely product support.
