Ever since the closing of the stats on this website has the traffic gone up or down on the forums part of this website?

I would assume that since one went down, the other went down too. But summer came not long after the stats were transferred so many people started coming much more. I have a feeling that the traffic is going to drop to an all time low in a few weeks.

I haven't noticed any real change in activity since then.

But I have noticed the flood forum is REALLY popular now.

We've lost a lot of activity in the Halo forums, which is understandable, as well as a few of the members who were active in many of the forums but left with the stats.

It seems to be a late night surge. I think it's most active at about 2 times a day. 4pm PDT and 10pm PDT. I'm not super sure though, because those are the times I'm on if I'm not on more.

I know this is a little off topic but are there any forums on the waypoint website? is that why everyone left? and does this website still have a solid amount of people?

Depends on what Bungie's "Soon(tm)" means. When they announce Destiny people will begin to visit this site.
Hopefully early to mid 2013.

It will be the same with every new game: the forums slow down (much more in this case due to Halo being transfered to 343), stuff is announced, people come back and new people sign up, and once the game gets close to being released activity really ramps up.

Well, Bungie has been dark for over a year, so activity has probably dropped a bit. But like Butane said, once it gets closer for Bungie to grace us with their game, activity will pick up.

Yep.

Simple really, with more functionality comes more activity.

The activity really hasn't changed much from what I've been seeing.

I spend too much time here.. too much time indeed.

I tweet?

I'm enjoying things as they are now, though I'm looking forward to the initial phase of speculation that will come when Bungie finally breaks from the darkness and the increased numbers of new users that will come and share their ideas. But I'm not looking forward to the "fun" that a new game forum will bring to this place once the game is released and people's massively high expectations are crushed and they start to -blam!- about how Bungie let them down and all that fun stuff.

The overall traffic has obviously slowed down. Many people no longer come here as Halo stats and news are now available on Waypoint. However, once Bungie announces the new IP more people will flock back.

Well I think the forums are still extremely populated with members with titles. But ordinary members seem to come and go as they please.

Let Sgt. Johnson die on Halo.

All the game forums are completely dead now. The only active forums I see are Bnet Community and The Flood. Until Bungie announces to new IP, it's going to continue being slow.

Yeah, most of the kids are off to school and either aren't allowed online during school or don't have time (like I did). It's gonna get pretty quiet around these parts.

Also: this shows a little bit better perspective of how low activity rates have been for a while.

It shows our peak from a few months back and show how far we've gone down from there. (Also, set the drop down to "Max" and see how far down we've gone since 2011).
