If battlefield 2 has deticated servers and has 12 vs 12, i see no reason why halo3 shouldnt.

hell no 32 at least but that would require massive maps......but wot do u do if someguy gets a pelicin and fills it to the max and attach a warthog on the back which they drop into an emenys base which exploes and kills everyone then everbody drops into the base and staels the flag get back on board leaving 7 bechind to kill everyone when they respawn......that would suck but a good idea

No sixteen is NOT enough. I am a big fan of Big Team Battle ( BTB skirmish now ).
If they could come out with BIG BIG TEAM BATTLE, with either

25 on 25 50 Total
20 on 20 40 Total
16 on 16 323 Total

That would be great.
I would prefer 25 on 25, but Bungie would consdier that to big, and it WOULD LAG BAD.

Bungie would most likely choose 16 on 16, total 32.
Other games have done it like SW Battlefront.

considering the amount of screaming this community does over lag and standby, I'd think the answer to this would be obvious. Let's face it, a good portion of the players here have sucktastic broadband connections and are unwilling to upgrade or get their -blam!- fixed.

Right now, there's a flashlight shining on lag and standby. Having more players in a game only serves to turn that flashlight into a 1,000,000 candle power flood light. The problems that matchmaking currently has will only be more visible with the addition of more players. The game won't be better. In fact it will just plain suck.

The lag time is already bad enough no matter what my connection has been. I would never play with more players.

I like the idea of more people playing at the same time but for the smaller maps there should be a limit as to how many players should be on the map at the same time.

i think we can stick to 16 total players for now

bungie can kick it up to 32 and beyond after launch, you know.

someone said something about spawn killing being a problem in the future, but it's already a problem. i think if there's gonna be a ton of people in a map, we should have a designated and protected spawn area, like in something like barracks or an armory so we can stock up before we go out. but then you'll probably have some idiot waiting on you in a tank with a small battalion of snipers all around. so yeah.

I think that 16v16 would be about as many people as I would like to play with kinda like PDZ for example.

I think if they bump it up to like 24 so you can have four teams of six battling in a 4 base CTF that would be sweet. I want four base CTF and four per team is not enough.

Don’t get mad if I flame you because you cannot spell, or because my three year old has better grammar and etiquette than you.

Sorry this isnt really a slam, but IF they were to do this, it would have already been started on, its a bit late to add something like this, IMO, they would have to make all the maps bigger, and provide more cover and so forth. Yeah its a good idea, maybe just not for Halo 3.
