Thats what bungie.net needs. Thread subscriptions. Something that allows you to recieve an email that says the forum you posted on got a reply, here it is, and a link that lets you go straight to it. That would beat the hell out of bookmarking the thread and checking it every 10 minutes...

Technically, speaking that is a nightmare to set up. The e-mail server would be going non-stop and don't forget the new codeing that would have to be writen to make that happen. I'd rather the spend their time on the new pod casts.

KOTOR | The WarriorsI'll chain you to the truth for the truth shall set you free
I'll turn the screws of vengeance and bury you with honesty
I'll make all your dreams come to life, then slay them as quickly as they came

Why? That's not even needed, except for people who need attention.

News? Podcasts? Machinima? Active forums? Competitions? Jaffa Cakes!? OMG!
Thee Warriors!

Best. Mod. Ever.

Indeed. Only for those attention seekers...

Facts are the enemy of tru7h....

You could maybe do it with RSS..... Although that would probably require a serious overhaul of the system...maybe not so much if the threads are being store in XML anyway.... But it would mean that you could simply subscribe to the thread you want and see replies as they come in....

Although i don't know enough about how the forums operate to know if its a viable option....

RSS would be a good idea....

as for re-doing the whole site, HIH re-did their site and it didnt take that long, plus the results would be worth it

At the GIA site we have Ideal BB, and it comes with subscription codes by defualt. There must've been a reason Achronos got rid of it.

Think about the amount of emails they would have to send out or individal RSS feeds (potentially on for each and every thread created).
Here's what I do if there is a thread I want to follow: I bookmark it. That easy. Yes, I have to check them occassionally but it's not that hard.
