i have to agree with Sound, thought i can't say it happens everywhere. it seems as though it depends on who posts the OP and how much fun can be had with it. a known community member posts and you will probably notice a lot more contribution and on topic than when an unknown member posts the same topic. it also depends on the topic, for example if you post about the web cams or titles or bungies next game or update, basically topics that have a broad spectrum of possible opinions which in themselves are discussible, well than generally there is no problem but go on and post a topic like this or ask about something you've missed as an abscent member or just because you're new and you're right, you get mostly sarcastic non informative replyes.
as an example... there was a member not long ago that has lost/missmanaged hir/her recon helmet in Reach. you would think the community would welcome the new person and help him/her out right ? oh no that would be to easy oh no we can't have that O_O
instead he/she got... oh don't you know you can't post about recon or Bungie no longer manages Reach on in before lock or sucks for you, stuff like that. only one member had enough descency to point the new member in the right direction (to 343s site), though no one mentioned to the fella that if he/she can't solve it there, they can get it eventually just by playing as it unlocks eventually. not only did he/she get NO advice from the majority, no one really made any effort to keep the new person in OUR community.
in my opinion, Sound hasn't come back to this thead because no one really gave him/her a reason to, even though this IS quite a discussible topic. most of you just made fun
o_O
shame on you all*
