I was just wondering how you (Bungie) are going to stop cheaters when Halo 3 comes out? We all saw what happend that dreadfull summer after Halo 2 came out, it was practicaly a mod party. Now people standby and bridge using conection host, i just hope you guys figure a way to stop it.

Well from what I've heard it doesn't take Bungie that long to track and bann cheaters on Xbox Live now, so I'm not really worried.

Have you once considered that the 360 has different security than an Xbox 1...and that no one has found a way to use modified content, not even with the firmware mod yet?

Halo's a hell of a drug.

They've learned a lot from Halo 2. They've got some plans I bet.

There is a way to mod the downloaded maps on a 360. Hopefully Bungie will just find a way to seal the map from modification once its been downloaded like some modders do now to prevent other people from taking credit for it. Because even with servers there will still be mods they just wont be as bad.

No there isnt, they have digital signatures just like the games. They are also locked onto the harddrive, so even if you use SATA cable, or XSTA you cant do it. I have XSATA to save my gamesaves and content on my PC, believe me, you cant mod the maps or even videos on the 360 HDD. The Xbox 360 has it locked down in many ways all they need to do is throw in some integrity tests, and it is FULLY blocked, even if 360 did get modded, it will be on the lock. No, there isnt a way to mod the 360 Downloaded Content, believe me, I have extensive background on studying the 360 and its technical security, not to hack it, but because it is a hobby of mine to know about security.

They already are stopping it.. They'll just implement their current tools into the release of Halo 3, and then go from there.
