"What are we holding on to, Sam?"
"That there's some good in this world, and it's worth fighting for."

Did you also decide to skip your grammar homework, by any chance?

Just kidding. I wasn't playing H3 until 2008. :(

Swag punks, fuck off!

Well I remember I was with my friend, He actually had everything planned out, his widescreen TV, surround sound speakers, and his 360 at the ready, heak we even had a 24 pack of root beers. It was an awesome day, we took a while getting used to everything; Forge, Custom Games, Theater, you name it. We spent 12 hours playing that day. Almost passed out, it was one of the greatest days I have had.

It was awesome. Went with a friend for the midnight launch (only time I've done that before). We got there around 7:00 PM, and Gamestop had some XBOXs and TVs set-up. There was only ten people until 11:00 PM and then a lot more starting showing up. Played a lot of Halo 2 and pretty much destroyed everyone there. Was the sixth person in-line to pick up my Legendary Edition. As I walked out of the mall (a line of hundred plus), some kids were yelling: "open the box!" lol

Went back to friend's place, played the first three or four missions and then multiplayer. Stayed up until 9:00 AM the next day.

Good times.

Citizens of Me! The cruelty of the old Pharaoh is a thing of the past. Let a whole new wave of cruelty wash over this lazy land.

Hear the word of Pharaoh. Build unto me a statue of ridiculous proportion. One billion cubits in height......that I might be remembered for all eternity!

And be quick about it!

I didn't play Halo back then, but I remember people talking about it like mad. It was a cold snowey day, I was in grade 8.

I remember this quote: "And the vocabulary of the Covenant is just amazing, the Brutes say stuff like "My prey is escaping!", and the graphics are so good!"

I wish I had been into Halo back then, but I didn't get into it until later that year.

Didnt own a 360 yet. Fell into deep depression for 45 seconds. My friend called me over, said he had halo 3. All -blam- broke loose.

Epicness. Just pure epicness. Went straight to Gamestation after college and picked up my pre-ordered Legendary Edition. I refused to eat and sleep the following night.

The day of Halo 3's release was a day of celebration mingled with pure win.

I bought it on a whim not knowing much about Halo beyond playing some Halo PC/Halo 2 with friends.

Huh. I've always seen you as the type that has been with the franchise ever since Halo: CE's release.

Hard to imagine it's been 5 years, and we're still on the 360 generation but oh it's changed.

and we're still on the 360 generation

That's because the Xbox 360 is arguably the best product Microsoft has brought out. It has still got some life left in it before the new Xbox comes out. Mind you, with all the rumours floating around the new Xbox I think people will cling onto their Xbox 360's.

Midnight release Sept 25th 2007. I was there in the mall getting my copy. Huge line. The best midnight release I've ever been too.

Halo 3 was and still my favorite game on the console. it's still just as epic to play as back in the day.

Sometimes, I dream about cheese.

a day like any other seeing as everyone was more interested in Call Of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (including me)

got Halo 3 two weeks after it's release, campaign was quite disappointing (game mechanics and levels weren't as fun as Halo: Combat Evolved and Halo 2)
though multiplayer was good

Just another day to me. I was probably still playing Star Wars Battlefront II on my Xbox. I had not yet been indoctrinated into the XBL universe. Come Christmas time, I was.
