I'd love to be a 10 year old and tell my mom I'm going on an adventure out into the world catching Pokemon, with her full support. Never mind the fact that there are rapists, criminals, and murders out there, or the fact that I may get killed by a Pokemon.

Luckily I have Pikachu.

There will be to many camping spots made with the map editor!

You cant spell slaughter without laughter
Ajb.com

I don't wanna see maps made by the little kids that seem to dominate Halo 2...I'm happy with the professionally made maps from bungie.

I would really want to see one.

But only in custom games.

I think it would be awesome to have. But they should only use it in clan matches, not in matchmaking. because they have awesome maps already, but if it takes time to make, people are just going to suck at it anyway.

I like to actually put some devotion into it and make a really good map, like in Timesplitters, so I would really like to see a map editor.

In halo 3, please no. It would ruin it and prolly be the one "bad" part of it since it is quite hard to implement correctly on a console. And even if they did, it would take valuable production time which could instead be spent making the game cooler.

Map Editors are used moslty for PC, like Halo 2 for Windows Vista for example. Although Halo 3, M.E. would be fun, but it would be an uneccesary part seeing as Bungie is working their asses off on the main element of it. So think of it this way: Would you rather have Halo 3 come out earlier with no M.E? Or would you rather wait an extra couple of months for a maple editor?

Map making pack would be hard. Consoles cant have map makers (at least good ones) on it due to controller limitations and so forth. One way though is they sell a map editer kit with an adapter to send map files through your PC to the 360, but I think LIVE may have to test for viruses, worms, and huge errors before it could be downloaded from LIVE. So, its possible, but very doubtful.

Not true my friend, go rent the Far Cry series and see for yourself. Although Map editing is hard and tedious, it is also fun and a good waste of time

Map editing would be neat, but only in custom games. Even then, it could still be bad because a lot of maps made on map editors suck. Definately none in matchmaking.

Apparently everyone is cluless that Halo 2 for Windows Vista is coming out with a map editor also.

While a map editor would prove to make the game that much more fun, the idea of actually including it in the final product would probably be a bad idea, given the immaturity of a number of the Halo series' users (modders, bridgers, cheaters in general). It would be quite fun to make maps for warthog derbys and such, and hell I even have some good ideas for regular maps myself, but the risks would be too high for Bungie in including a map editor. Now, if they signed me on to the Bungie team to start making maps for them, I certainly would have no objections...
