I agree. I mean, have you ever thought about putting disks in your pocket. Hey, I think I'll carry a CD case around just to play games. Have you thought about what would happen to the PSP screen? I heard someone say if he ever got one, he have to put it in a sock or something just to keep it from getting scratched. And who the heck would want to watch a movie on a screen that small. That's what portable DVD players are for. Besides, it would cost about ten bucks to watch Lord of the Rings because you would need so many batteries. And what's up with the GPS feature? Are you gonna get lost in your own house and need to use it find your bathroom? It doesn't make sense. And the cost. Who would pay 300$ for a totally useless device? Knowing Sony, you would need to buy a new PSP every six months because your old one's disk slot broke again. The obvious answer is the DS. Nintendo always has, and always will be the portable gaming king.

We’ve watched while the stars burned
Out, and creation played in reverse.
The Universe freezing in half-light.
Once I thought to escape.
To end a master, step out of the
Path of collapse. Escape would make us God.
Yet I cannot help but remember one enigma,
A hybrid, elusive destroyer.
This is the one mystery I have not solved.
The only element unaccounted for.

Totally useless is going to bit far.
It's only partly useless.
And why would you be using a PSP in your house? You'd use it when you're not at home. When you're at home you'd simply play all of the games on your PS2, since they are all going to be ports anyway.

I'm glad to see some Nintendo people on these forums. I find that all those people who call the GameCube a "kiddie-cube" have never played a game on the system. Next to the Xbox, the GameCube has the best graphics. Nintendo has always delivered great games. I have never played a bad Mario, Zelda, or Metroid game. Ever. So, on that note, I will get the DS as soon as possible.

Note: The DS comes out Nov. 21 at $150. That means the PSP is twice the price of the DS.

PSP??? No. Way. If I decide to get one of them, it'll be the DS. But I'll just stick to Xbox. Aftre all, why have Pokemon when you can have Halo 2?

As for the Gamecube, it's good, better than the PS2. But it doesn't have Xbox Live or a System Link equivalent and you can't watch DVDs on it (Or play Halo on it, either :-D). As the Bible says: "Screw that!!!"

There's more Nintendo fans on here than you think.
And there has been a bad Zelda game or two. There was some "Zelda and the Magic carpet" thing once, and it won something for worst game ever.
Edit- Ok, so after a bit of Google-ing I wasn't able to find that game I mentioned. I did, however, find that there was a Zelda RPG. I actually played, but the thought of a Zelda RPG was so horrible that I must have blanked it out.

The sequel to the original Zelda, although not as good, introduced many new features, that in the end, would never appear in another Zelda game. These features are mainly level building. The more fights you get into, the more experience you will get, then you can choose a perameter to raise. The concept of sidescrolling dungeons and battles, however, did not thrill me. It is no wonder that Nintendo never used these features in future Zelda games. The graphics are better than the original's. The sound is too, but it still can get annoying. The control however, is crap. Link responds slowly, which can cost you the game. This is definetly the worst Zelda game, but hay, everyone makes mistakes. It is just fortunate that so far, this is the only mistake Nintendo ever made with its legendary series.

Edit edit- FOUND IT!
It's called Legend of Zelda: Wand of Gamelon, and you play as princess Zelda. Not Link, Zelda. 'Nuff said.

Ah, yes. I've heard of that, but I've never played it. Still, one mistake out of 11 (I think) is hardly bad.

Note: It seems that it isn't on Zelda.com. I wonder why...

I have a feeling that the DS's sales will be overshadowed by Halo 2's as everyone is going to be playong halo 2, noone will be going out to buy a portbable system.

They probably disavowed all knowledge of it. It was on G4TechTV though, so it's real. On Pulse if you want to be specific.

Dude, for a while the sale of crack in Canada will be overshadowed by Halo 2. Halo 2 will overshadow everything.

I said Canada because it's legal in Canada. So, you're high, eh?

I'm not much of a hand holder. When ever I'm supposed to use it(like on an airplane or waiting), I just can't get into the whole gaming experience and actually enjoy the game because there is too much other stuff going on. So for me, portability is no real gain. As for at home(since I just explained why I wouldn't use it anywhere else), it hurts my neck, too small a screen, you need to be in perfect light, the controls suck and so do the graffics. But IF I was a hand holder I'd wait for Microsoft to make an appearance.

FACT: Sony's hardware has always been more reliable then Nintendo's.

OPIONION: I'm not so sure about that one.

Has Nintendo ever had an "infamous disk-read error"? I've never had any longterm problem with anything Nintendo. All the problems I've had were my fault (batteries in wrong way.)

You guys did realize that I was continuing to be sarcastic there, didn't you?

I think ill stick with my old SEGA game gear, first hand held color screen..

and my n64 is getting finiky, its so hard to play ssb now, i have to fkn blow and smash the cartridge in like 50 times.. so nintendo has some problems with cartridges..

but i would save your money, handhelds are overrated and a waste of money.

A good portion of that time was because the source was stolen.

They're not making it better, they're trying to fix it.

I love how all of the PSP fans are fighting a losing battle here.
And trust me, a delay or ninety minute battery life would be far worse than having two screens.

Well if you are going to spend $300(+ or -) you might as well spend the extra $35 for another batterie pack.

Well if you are going to spend $300(+ or -) you might as well spend the extra $35 for another batterie pack.

1. The PSP is wayyyyyyyyy overpriced.
2. The DS has ONLINE GAMING
3.The DS comes out in abuot a month and a half.
4.Nintendo has more experience with portables.
5.Why would i want to spend $35 on a battery pack that only lasts 90 minutes when i an buy batteries that last for 420 minutes for $5?
6.The DS graphics are equal to GC's graphics where as PSP's graphics are equal to PS1.
7.The DS comes with an ONLINE MULTIPLAYER DEMO of Metroid Prime.
8. The PSP is most likely going to come out a year from now.
The list could go on and on but i feel that i have made my point.

Trust me, I'm a DS fan, but...
GET YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT!
1) The online gaming for the DS is only confirmed for hotspots.
2) The DS isn't even close to being able to run Metroid Prime.
3) The PSP's graphics are much better than the DS's. That is a fact.
4) Besides that you are right.
