Halo: Reach is the beginning of a new age for gaming.
It proves that developers can get away with punishing their players instead of fixing their game....and yet the fanboys will still sing praises to them.
-blam!- all of you fanboys!
This looks like a good place to drop this.
Someone please pass this along to waypoint for me.
If you're looking for ranked gameplay. Take notes from a game called Trackmania. Pay attention to how they do ranks in that game.
A ranking system based soley on W/L does not work.
Because, as an individual. I am probably better than you are.
But you don't play as an individual, which means your stats are inflated by the fact that your stacking the odds in your favor against people who don't even attempt to communicate.
Which means any numbers you've gained from "grouping" are invalid. Unless you apply that number against other groups.
Guess what. People who play in groups, are the minority. Most of your competition.... IF YOU HAVEN'T NOTICED! is not grouped up like you are. They don't play with the same boring people every day like you do. So to compare your 50 to their number is -blam!- pointless.
No relly, this message is more or less meant for the most recent idiots over at waypoint. Pass it along. Cause I know some of you still have accounts over there that are not permanently banned for having intelligence mixed with anger.
Oh and the reason we can't match teams vs teams... is because teams would be -blam!-ing and crying about how long it takes to find a game. So instead we get the current status quo where people are quitting left and right because Bungie thought it was a good idea to force population high by limiting the number of playlists.
All in the name of getting dumbasses like yourselves targets to shoot at within a reasonable timeframe.
