I think what the OP is still referring to (I might be assuming) is not whether you respect the person overall, since that is almost impossible to judge for obvious reasons... But whether someone's posts make you respect their online presence more, as in you come to value their input and contributions, even their arguments that oppose yours.
At least this is what I'm assuming...
Because you never truly know someone here, even if you think you do.

Truthfully, I find it hard to respect anyone that I don't know personally. I have met some fascinating people on this website, and have had the pleasure of getting to know them better, and talk to them over Xbox LIVE, and so on, but I can't say that I respect them. Treating people with respect and actually respecting them are two different things, in my personal opinion. Well, except for Gods Prophet. If you don't love that little bundle of joy, there's something wrong with you.
