What do you mean, exactly? Bungie employees have the ability to post them (I think if you use [img] to post an image the preview and final version always comes out as "[image removed]"). Are you suggesting that moderators be able to post images too or someone as high a rank as Mythic?

[img]test[/img*] = [Image Removed]
At some stage, when an account can be trusted enough, it should have the ability to post images.

Or you can give it to everyone and ban those who break image related rules like every other forum on earth.

But nooooooooooooooooooo, apparently that's WAY to complex for bnet.

I would like change. Change is awesome.

  • 08.28.2012 3:26 PM PDT

Maybe some new features and HTML5 or CSS3 technologies? Or are you already implementing such things BUNGIE? The layout is pretty awesome but it does need more cowbell.

It's a metaphor for the 07s' lack of identity. too old to be newfag, yet too new to be oldfag, we wander b.net in search of a home, forever trying to be something we are not.

As long as it's not pay to play I'll be around.

The Risk Is Worth The Reward.
Cry Havoc And Let Slip The Dogs Of War.

Like a few ppl have said nothing has changed in like 5 years. It's time to give this site an upgrade.

"10000?"

I can't wait to see what's in store. It will be different, yes, but it will also be a good different.

I was a finalist :P

People are never conpletely content, and a lot of people disdain change from something which may increase how content they are with the site. I think it's more of a " It's going to be worse" outlook, rather than a "Let's see the new features the update has to offer" with said people, i.e. blind criticism over something which is inevitable.

I agree with you, when I visit other fourms, I find myself only reading the posts that have more votes.

Functionally the site still does a pretty good job, it's just the design is old and a lot of us have been looking at this same design for many years now. I'd like something new.

I broke one of the cords for my X11s because I couldn't get past the final American course in Doritos Crash Course.

I have a feeling this place is going to undergo a major change, at the end of the day its the members and staff that make this site what it is.
It doesn't matter how its presented, the lifeblood that keeps bungie.net alive will always be the same.

Once they break the rules the damage has already been done. So why would a feature such as image posting, which has the potential of being misused and affecting other users, be available to everyone as soon as they join, especially when you consider the kinds of users who visit here?

Further, if members see other, more privileged members making use of their privileges in the forums, surely that's another incentive for them to stick with using the same account and behaving themselves so they too can use them.

I'm in favor for in-game incentives based on account age.

Let's say, for example, that this is a straight up MMORPG-shooter.

Members play the game normally.

Heroics get +4% exp from killing... stuff; and people.

Legendaries get +6% exp, and access to a small group of guns with customizable color schemes.

Mythics get +9% exp, and access to those guns (and others like it), as well as access to an exclusive blue Bungie-based helmet.

Titleabovemythicthatithinkshouldbecreatedandhasaprerequisiteo f7yearsofbeingonthesightpluswhateverappropriatetrustratingisr equired get +13% exp, access to the guns, access to the helmet, and access to a thattitle-exclusive area of the game. A town, a shop, something.

These are just examples to illustrate a point.

-blam!- it, how about a thread. (inb4omgyoujustmadeathreadtomakeathread)

Maybe understanding why that is a bad idea is a little too complex? Have you seen any Mythic spamming trolls around lately? Imagine if those spammers had the ability to post images. I doubt many people would have the patience to actively take place in the B.net forums for 3 1/2 or so years just to spam the site with inappropriate images.

But hey, you never know.

Reward? I never thought I could be rewarded for sticking around that is always nice.

Also DeeJ referring to Mythix as a bunker? I've personally always considered it more of an asylum.

To put things in perspective, bungie.net isn't even running in widescreen yet.

I've been using a widescreen laptop and I never even noticed that. Now everything feels so small.

Still better than you.

.....most of you, at least.

I'd like to see some ease of use improvements, but overall, if the site runs basically the same, then I shall be happy.
