Subject: Mail Sack: Community Edition?

I'm not sure if someone has already made this thread before, but I was wondering what everyone would think if we did a community version of the mail sack.

Basically, DeeJ will post the normal mail sack thread every Monday and we would ask questions. But this time, the question we will ask are question we want community members to answer.

On Friday, the mail sack will be open, and 7 community members answer the questions. The community members will be the panel for the mail sack.

This doesn't have to be a one time deal either. This can happen whenever DeeJ feels like doing this.

So what do you guys think? Is this a good idea and would you like to see this happen?

Sounds like people would just complain about the 7 members chosen. I wouldn't mind another edition where employees ask us questions though.

Key

HOOBLA already suggested it; we already did it.

He did? When? I don't remember that.

Oh, no, that was when the employees asked us, but we ask each other questions.

Sure, why not? The same old sack gets boring.

I'm pretty sure Hoobla suggested the reverse Mail Sack. This exact idea has never been suggested before.

That's why we could have it every so often so more people get picked to answer.

I'm gonna finish it. Just like Jigga did to the pyramid.

That would be boring reading what other community members have to say. Most of the questions asked in the mail sack are off-topic. We have an off-topic forum so you can go there.

Also the mail sacks were created so Bungie staff and community members could "come together" and still interact with each other. Not for community members to interact with other members. We have the forums for that.

I agree with Antony though that it would be nice for another reverse mail sack.

It's a great idea, but how would DeeJ filter the best responses?

What's to stop you from just asking each other questions right now? I don't need to proctor that. Just ask. And answer. You have this lovely forum as a venue in which you can get to know each other.

Expected response is expected....and valid.

Don't we ask each other questions every day in the form of threads? What would be the point of a mail sack that essentially molds multiple threads into one for community members?

And people would get upset over the community members that were chosen to answer because in some way, they have been chosen over their peers. It would make sense to do a ninja version, but not a community version. Less fuss and much more sarcastic.

Well then....I'm running out if ideas for mail sack questions. For me it feels like we need something fresh, that's why I made this thread. Oh well. Back to brain storming.

I see.

Well then, Community. In case anybody was wondering, my favorite type of cheese is Pepperjack but ONLY when it is melted on a bacon cheeseburger or on its own when thinly sliced. If the cheese is not cut thin enough then Cheddar is the superior cheese.

You're welcome, everybody.

A little melted butter for the body meat. If we're talking claws, nothing, it's damn tasty on its own.

What a hipster.

So guys, who knows any girls in the area that might want to take a ride on the Commander Train? I have many leather bound books and my walls smell of rich mahogany.

Digits will also be acceptable.

Couldn't that be considered spam? This is a community forum, not a ask questions forum. :P

Getting our threads locked for being "off topic" and being told to make them in the Flood would stop us.

Then getting the thread locked by a different mod and being told to post it here would keep us stopped.
