Why Bungie, why would you do this?! - Halo Community

Why did you make a new account? Do you still have S1G8?

And for SC, I just do a longer version of the WR speedrunning method.

The problem I have with YouTube is that it's hard to maintain an account without becoming competitive and/or feeling obsolete.

I really do wish it were possible to hide the subscribers, ratings, & views count...

My previous accounts were all failures. I owe it to YT's horrible design changes and my OCD-like mentality. With this one, I am simply going to upload videos for people to watch.

Speedrunning? I'm trying to show better, more novel ways to fight.

It's incredibly easy to skip Shafted. But where's the fun in that?

Marines in CE sure do have some worth, don't they?

I developed that strategy for CEA LASO, since my original clipping method wasn't working in that game. It used to take me a bunch of tries in Halo PC and Xbox using my older method. In fact, I never got it to work in Anniversary. With the marine clipping method, it goes more smoothly plus there's less of a chance of triggering Shafted.

There's no reason to feel obsolete or competitive, at least in my opinion. I have watched every video you put out since you first made S1G1. And while you may feel pressured because of subscribers...don't be. Really. Nobody is staring at their computer, constantly refreshing in a frantic hope of seeing a new Sliding Ghost video (I may be the exception though...). Any person who subscribes to you obviously realizes the work you put into finding cool and for the most part original content, and simply wants to be informed when and if you make another.

I usually try to stealth as much as possible. I usually get all the jackals that get dropped off after I unlock the door.

The demands may be practically non-existent but I can't help feeling that I must make more videos.

Still, I have concerns about some of my uploads. I was going to upload extensive videos for things like Hornet army, half Flood, and my 40 AI collection on The Covenant but I could never fit the setup into 1 video. And now, I no longer have them or most of my game saves.

I'll try to keep that in mind.

They sure do.

And the clip will be very useful various types of strategies and runs of SC.

Part 2 also had some very nifty and useful strategies in it, very nice job!

Unlock door, run back outside. I used to always jump down to the crash site, but recently I started going back the way I came, and a load of jackals is being dropped off. I wait behind rocks and trees, and pick them off one by one as they do their patrols and take positions. Often there are two at the end that are challenging, and you have to get the timing exactly right or the last one sees you.

Yep.

The clip works on LASO. Saving a marine gunner for distraction works as well.

Thank you!

What happens if you fire your gun while staying out of sight? Do they investigate, change position, etc.?

They go bat-blam!- insane and smash their heads into flying chunks of lead.

lol!

So they panic or they just run around taking forever to find you?

:S

They pop up 1 by 1 at a time, convenient headshots. Is my assumption still off?

They can't zero in on your location from that? Ah CE, this is why I love ya! Trying this in any other game means certain death unless you have extremely fast reflexes to get those headshots.

You can only skip up to the Cartographer activation. You still have to proceed with the remainder of the level.

On Co-op, you can skip the entire level (the world record speedrun on highspeedhalo).

SG, you're giving me far too much credit here. I do nothing that elegant.

It is the soldier, not the reporter, who has given us freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us freedom of speech. It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, who has given us the freedom to demonstrate. It is the soldier, not the lawyer, who has given us the right to a fair trial. And it is the soldier who salutes the flag, who serves the flag, whose coffin is draped in the flag that allows the protester to burn the flag.Father Dennis Edward O'Brien, USMC

Sum mad skills OP.
