i know to most this is a bit extreme for most people on this site for me to be asking this but this is an honest question that i am very interested in knowing.

My questions is does bungie allow firearms inside of its building. By this i mean a permit to open or conceal carry a pistola. I am from Indiana and our firearm laws are very open witch is a good thing. For the company that i work for over the summer it is not allowed to carry firearms with you on plant site but it is alright to have in cars. I had a few people bring in their firearms for me to borrow for a few days to try them out and see what i thought of them, uncluding people that are VERY high up in the company.

http://www.usacarry.com/indiana_concealed_carry_permit_inform ation.html

^^^this is a list of states that allow me to carry my firearm with me with Indiana permit. Washington the state not being one of them

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gun_laws_in_the_United_States_(b y_state)

^^^this is a short brief what the laws of washington are, scroll down to see.

so it is up to the company to allow firearms or not. Because it is against my school rules i can not carry a weapon of ANY kind on campus; which i think is against my right as am american, and leaves me and others on campus vulnerable.

Because of how i was raised i have always been aware of what is going on around me, how to keep myself safe, and only after i am safe the safety of others. I have had this drilled into me several times because of things that my family and i do that i will not discuss due to it being off topic and if interested send me a PM and i will inform you, nothing bad all waterfowl hunting. Because of this being drilled into to me i was able to keep calm during this incident that happened.

^^^you never know when something can happen.

To get to my point, what is the companies police on weapons with in the building? You honestly you never know when the worse could happen? When a mad student enters into the class room or when a gamer come into the company upset. It is always good to be aware of what is going on all the time and to always have a plan worked out.

I came for Halo, but I heard the Tru7h, fought thru Carnage, and stayed for Bungie.

No one cares how much you know, until they know how much you care.--Teddy Roosevelt

Please fix your grammar and spelling.

OT: I do not believe any Bungie employees carries a live firearm inside the building. Maybe the security team has a gun in a safe somewhere though.

Anyone but Foman. He smells like cheese.

For obvious security reasons, yorkie, I kind of doubt you're going to get a clear answer to this question.

do you think that that would be something that the contestant winners will be informed of or not? weather they are allowed to carry or not? I always carry except when i am on campus or when i am going to the airport. So if i were a winner and if my permit carried over there i would think it would be fine for me to carry while on the tour.

Well, here we are. I guess that it was destined to come to this.

I believe (at least in most states that I have visited) that businesses and/or the owner of the building is required and will post a "no weapons on the premises" signs at the entry points to a building.

If Bungie has such a sign at their entrance, or if the owner of the building/complex has such signs at the entrances, then the policy is clear.

As Bungie has private security to prevent uninvited and unauthorized access to their studio, I would imagine that (allowed or not allowed) Bungie employees tend to feel safe when they are at work (as every employee everywhere should).

Yorkie, why on earth would you want to take a firearm with you on a tour round Bungie studios? Like Recon said, they have their own private security, there's nothing to threaten you.

Does Washington State have reciprocity with your home state? If not, then you would not be legal to carry anywhere within WA unless you have a WA state permit as well as your home state.

I carry as well, and (like you) I have a list of places that when I am going to visit, I leave my sidearm behind. My list includes "places of business where it's likely or even feasible that my being armed could/would cause a disruption and my hosts to regret inviting me."

A one time visit to Bungie Studios would be on that list of "I'd leave it behind".

That and air travel with a sidearm is a PIA. I travel tons on business and that hardware usually stays home.

Pretty good rule of thumb. And bringing a gun into a highly secretive studio that has legions of... well... "enthusiastic" fans is unlikely to be seen as a benign act.

Downtown Bellevue is not a dangerous place. Last I heard, yorkie, nobody has ever been attacked or otherwise in danger of mortal injury while touring Bungie.

Well, unless you happen to be in the bathroom after lunchtime, but there's not much a sidearm can really do against poison gas anyway.

I would imagine there would be a significant danger of vapor ignition.

I was going to write 'Bungie Studios' but they aren't 'Bungie Studios' anymore so eh.

Anyways, I also heard it was an AK-47.

Surprised this isn't locked yet.

We have weapons in our studio, but they were all made by Peter Jackson to be used by Neill Blomkamp. And, they're fake.

I don't think we need to have this conversation. Suffice to say, it's in poor taste to suggest that you would bring a gun into our place of work as a guest. Many of us are shooters, myself included (eh, Foman?), but we all know that there is a time and a place.

A private property owner doesn't not need to post signs to ban guns. At least not in Minnesota. Public locations that ban guns are required to post signs, but private property owners can kick you out of their property whether it was posted. It would be entirely unconstitutional to ever tell a private property or business they have to allow strangers with guns on their property.
