with halo 3 coming out on the 360, and me being the only on out of my (student) friends to be able to afford one, id rather not play the boring 1 v 1 time and again - no point paying £50 for a single player, then get bored of the other mode within a few hours.

id really like to team up with bots and play a team game!!

i mean, if they can get the AI done so well for halo 2, and its guaranteed to be better in this game, why cant they slide that into mulitplayer.

come on - give us multiplayer bots!!

you can then open up team games for those of us that dont all have mega rich friends or xbox live.

A lot of people want bots but Bungie feels bots aren't necessary. which is bad for me

Shhhhhh. Did you want to make them more money? If they had bots, it would become more popular than all those massive-multiplayer-online-roleplaying games put together.

Seriously, you've stumbled upon the next innovation for multiplayer online games. The main problem is that bots take a lot of processing power to run online.

Time splitters comes close, but their bots are either too difficult or too easy to kill. Bots on Halo PC in multiplayer were awesome at first, but got boring after a while because no one figured out how to make a game out of using them.

No bots please... Anyway I wouldn't care...
If I have Live, I'll just wanna play against others humans.
I've played Halo 2 singleplayer for 5 weeks straight, because I didn't have Xbox Live :P

i think bots would be cool, but not on live just for you and your friends to mess around with and train to become better, but bots can never do what another human would do

Constant state of war, of one, with all.

Bungie doesn't not directly use community ideas, but we do influence their decisions sometimes. I think bots would rule for those of us without access to Live. I play Halo and Halo 2 single player alot to make up for it. Playing with bots on multiplayer maps would make me a happy ninja.

i wasnt pleading - and i woulda read the stickies, but there are so many, and my computer is so slow!!

Don’t get mad if I flame you because you cannot spell, or because my three year old has better grammar and etiquette than you.

NO!

Bad idea.

I would rather see more MP maps vehicles or anything else.

Bots would be a step backwards, maybe its just time you shelled out the money for live, if you are here typing this chances are you have broadband, buy a router and a live account and quit complaining about old tech.

OR

i am a student - live in halls and so the broadband only works on the PC.

PLUS as a student its costing me enough to buy a 360 and halo 3 so why should i go out and buy live so i can play people i really dont want to.

if you think bots are a step backwards you should go play some games like killzone and timesplitters.

My Current Profile

I could live without them, though it would be a pretty nice feature. Playing multiplayer on Xbox Live alone is fine with me.

As I have said before:

Bots = Perfect Dark Zero = suck

When you add bots you take away from the single or multiplayer facets of the game, both of which are the reasons why Halo 2 is wildly successful already without them.
Look at your examples, timesplitters cannot compare to the worldwide love for this game, nor can killstrike. They both may be great games, but I think one reason why they aren't loved on a grand scale is because of the bots. Again, if you want to fight against AI, play single player. If you want something a little more unpredictable, play multiplayer. Either participating in a LAN party, or Xbox Live has to be more fun than chasing AI bots.
