Achronos this, Achronos that. Whatever he says on these forms are just his opinions. He is not allowed to give out any information about Halo 3. So whatever he says is just to help stir up the pot of your brains of mush.

I've been around these parts for almost eight years now...wow! Maybe I should be concerned about that...

Lightning has and still will strike the same spot twice on many occasions.

Yes lightning can strike in the same place twice. But in the same shape/form. possible, but not probable. Because you can't prove it can or cannot. Just like you can't prove evolution or creation.

J Grizzo: Well Bungie, how do you explain this mistake?
Bungie: Uhh... Look a Pelican! *runs away*

  • 06.21.2006 9:42 PM PDT

All the amazing threads and theories that have run ramped through this forum and this retarded one gets two mods...(the two highest level mods actualy) in it. I dont get it.

And seen as there are three pages of people telling you it is possable, I might as well make you feel small too, it happens, every day and its well documented. The CN tower in Toronto gets more hits in the same place then your mom does playing Fight Night.

Welcome to B.net.

Physics dictates otherwise...

as long as there is an unbalance of negative and positive charges in the ground and clouds...(which massive amounts of energy seem to be eminating from the structure) then lighting could strike as many times as it feels like in the same spot...its just a transfer of charges..ie opposites attract its like bringing magnets together...or static shocks from blankets...the energy is just being replaced by the structure thus multiple strikes of energy transfer from the ground to the clouds.

Wow, this is just spam.

I am so clever that sometimes I don't understand a single word of what I am saying.

If that is lightning, then it takes to long. Lightning is as fast as a blink of an eye.

Lightening strikes the same place many times. Like the lightening rod on top of any tall sky scraper.

1. Who said it was lightning? That is an awful big assumption, considering the nature of what is going on in that scene. Maybe it is, maybe it isn't... :)
2. Besides, lightning strikes in the same place all the time - simple physics explains that.

In the Halo 3 trailer if you look at the mysterious artifact then you can see lighting cleary striking the same place twice

Tom Achronos has spoken!

good call on the lightning theory dude..........even tho its a vortex, you have a real keen eye brotha, keep it up!

Lightning can and has hit the same place twice. It is uncommon, but it does and has happened.

lightning is pretty much randomized to were it strikes.
once lightning charges after striking a spot it is very possible to be hit again.
allways remember lightning is electricity and electricity wants to get to the ground any possible way it can

Shows how many swirling vortexes you've dealt with before.

I also lol'ed. And they look more whirling than swirling to me.

And has anyone here heard of a lightning rod? If they only work once, you'd better throw those once-used suckers away. Add: sorry, I missed that two others have mentioned lightning rods.

Ummm, yes it does, ever heard of lightning rods? Or just plain " The ground" There is no reason it can't strike in the same place twice, infact lightning ALWAYS strikes twice in the same place, every strike is actually two very rapid ones. Gundown117 the lwas of physics don't have a whole lot to do with whether or not lighting strikes twice in the same place.

This is getting off topic. I believe that he is saying that to prove something as scientific fact you need to go back and recreate it, and ytou cant recreate creation, well at least not now.

Back to Lightning.....

Lighting can strike in the same place twice, if the positrons and negatrons are the same after the lighting strikes.

haha, "negatrons", we call those "electrons" these days!

Also, you'll be glad to hear that lightning can, infact, strike the same place twice. It's just an old wive's tale that it can't.

I mean, think about it; lightning rods wouldn't be much use otherwise, would they?
