Fair play

Every time I play any MLG objective based game no one goes after the objective. What makes it odd is that everyone always votes for them, but I'm usually the only one going after it. I've just recently played a match where we won 4 - 0, me being the one that scored all 4.

Party of 2 ( enemy ) vs randoms ( me )

What's the point?

Why Bungie, why would you do this?! - Halo Community

Running at the objective over and over again hurts the team. You need to slay and get map control before you worry about the objective and while pulling it you need to set up a spawn trap.

There's a difference between slaying to clear a window to get the objective, and just farming easy kills.

Interesting strategy. I guess that not being matched against a party was the reason that I was able to score so easily, while the other team probably tried to achieve the strategy you mentioned.

I'm new to competitive Halo and Halo itself (Reach being my first video game ever actually). Message me if you want to play;

Reach: MLG, Arena, Doubles, BTB and customs.
Halo 3: Ranked MM and customs.

Also I have every Halo title and all of its DLC on the Xbox 360.

If you're searching solo, I suggest voting for slayer especially if you match a party. It's so much harder to win objective games without communication between you and your teammates.

Unless you're a beast:)

I'm aware of that, but even the randoms prefer to vote for the objective that they never attend to. Its mind blowing why they even attempt to farm/spawn trap as randoms.

Yeah, you do one all the time and you do the other whenever you can ;)

Lol, thats seems to be the way things end up.

It would appear so.

So basically... Waypoint is pro-vanilla?

Waypoint isn't pro-anything so much as they're just anti-intelligence.

Racking up kills.

"She is starting to damage my calm."

I run at the objective over and over during a game. What happens is that eventually the other team is distracted, engaged or respawning etc and I am able to get in. Sometimes there is someone who notices I'm charging the objective over and over, and they wait for me. If that happens I have to try something different. I usually get killed about 30 times, but I don't care - I'm trying to get the objective not kills.

You could just get the objective once you kill the other team.

Ah yes good point, but you assume one thing. You assume I am able to kill the other team. I am not.

Play team objective. The competition is not as difficult as it is in MLG. Everyone has to start somewhere.

ROFL, yesterday I was betrayed by a guy who wanted the flag, and it cost us a flag. Since this can happen in MLG of all places, I am going to search for a team to play with ASAP.

I don't mind having someone that won't pull the flag nearly as much as I hate having 1-2 teammates sitting back on our side the entire time sniping when we're trying to push up and get map control.

Adventure Time!!!!!!!

I just walk in middle of the battle and I hardly even get
hit and then I just get the objective and score a point.
I mean who cares about getting kills when you could get
achievments.

"To me, a nice triple kill with the sniper is infinitely more impressive than any Living Dead Killionaire"

Does flaming people on forums count as an esport?

I'm a commendation/achievement/statistics freak.

Every member of the opposing team you kill is basically useless for 10 seconds. This means that even double kills are huge. If you can manage to get 3 of the opposing team members dead, even if all 3 red x's are only for a second, they will all spawn together, and someone can almost certainly pull the flag and run it more than halfway before they even get their panicked nades off and start moving to intercept.
