There is just something magical about leaning your head back, letting your eyes roll into the back of your head, and taking a piss while floating in the swimming pool.

I'm a devoted Halo player. I've played the games since the original Xbox. Hell, I bought the original Xbox just for Halo...like I'm sure many of you did.

There were specific reasons I stopped playing each game though.

Halo 1: Halo 2 came out.

Halo 2: Tired of the cheating, the quitters, and the lag.

Halo 3: Quitters, Reach came out.

Halo Reach: Quitters, and....

....getting booted for accidently betraying someone when other players betray me over and over and don't get booted.

Seriously, one game this one guy on my team was betraying everyone. Kept killing everyone including me around 3-4 times in a row. He finally got booted when he had -10 kills. The very next game (mind you I never betray anyone on my teams) I'm in the wrath, shoot a shot at an enemy that kills the enemy and unfortunately a team mate.

BOOM I'M KICKED OUT! Now what the -blam!- is that goddamn bull-blam!- all about?

It happened again tonight where I accidently killed a teammate with a grenade when I took out the enemy with the same grenade. BOOM I'M KICKED OUT!

-blam!- that.

So I broke the disk and said -blam!- it.

Just going to wait until Halo 4.

I can't tell you how many times I've seen this paragraph in this forum.

I've done this with Reach twice. Then I realized there was no sense in breaking an already broken game.

Hopefully you don't find that to be bad.

This is pure BS.

It's impossible to get booted after a single betrayal unless you have a record of betraying.

So, in essence, what you've done is had a rage fit over getting booted because of your careless play. Two words, Anger Management.

You need help with your anger.

It's really not, you can accidentally betray someone in a game pretty easily, hopefully you relate to that a bit, an errant sticky meant to kill an enemy, someone who's just plain dumb and runs right into your fire at the last second?

I never get the option to boot the guy betraying me, granted it usually doesn't go past 1-2 (because he's probably not trying to get booted and maximize his griefing) but all the same I make 1 betrayal and I'm booted immediately many times. I don't know who designed the mechanism but it's clearly very broken. I have a super easy fix, more than 2-3 betrayals a week? your "boot" flag goes off and anyone can boot you on betrayal. That would work every time but it clearly doesn't work that way.

There's a fix for the op tho, don't play BTB. I'm only guessing he's playing BTB but seriously I haven't had this problem in Team/Swat/Multi which are what I mostly play, but every time I come back to BTB you get 1-2 people on your team who are out to grief, nearly every time.

If it's not BTB get used to FFA, no betraying there.

I'm glad I can chime in for once, seems like you make a post like this that's very true and all people come back with is "oh you must suck or have anger issues..." when you could either state facts or actually keep your opinion to yourself. Never going to happen I know.

Still better than you.

.....most of you, at least.

Problems I have with betraying: none.

It really isn't that hard not to betray your own team, and getting booted isn't even a big deal if you do.

Halo multiplayer sucks!

Based on campaigns

Halo 2 > Halo 3 ODST > Halo 3 > Reach/CE tied

You should have given this trash up ages ago

I dunno, I was on a brand new account, got bored in Snipers, betrayed somebody once, and was instantly booted.

OT: OP, if quitters and betrayals are your main problems with Reach, I think you're missing something.

Want a cool clan? Join FRAG!

Want a war sim? The best war sim in Halo, Forerunner Conflict.

Simple fix: Stop killing your teammates.

There's a giant waypoint over their head. Try to avoid blowing things up near that.

I win, you lose, get over it!

Agreed. There is no wrath in the game.

BLA BLA BLA BLA! This is like the hundreth time I have read
something like this crap.

Ooh, I love those people, the ones who decide to throw everything and the kitchen sink at you, as if an M16 does anything to a T-90. Oh, MLG player with noobtube instead? Congrats! You blew off one of my ablative plates!

Gun, meet Bad Guy.
Bad Guy, this is Gun.

When I betrayed a guy on Halo 3 I really didn't do anything or apologized, if I betray a guy on Reach the first thing that comes to mind is that they are going to boot me immediately.

Waypoint isn't pro-anything so much as they're just anti-intelligence.

I get 0.15 betrayals per game.

If you get booted because of "accidental" betrayals the only person you can blame is yourself.

There are far better reasons to stop playing Reach.

This is not one of them.

Oh yeah, since somebody does not believe what YOU believe; that makes us vapid...
I cannot grasp that what you call "Something happened to nothing, and that nothing became something, and it was smaller than than a period."

Go back to Halo 3 then, because I'm pretty sure the betrayal system is better there.

Thanks, using HTR I have 66 betrayals in 1266 games for a B/g of .05

That is totally surprising since I am the worst player in Halo. I almost never betray on purpose, however I get willfully betrayed quite often. I do believe that it is ridiculous to think that accidental betrayals never happen. Or that the betrayal is the fault of a bad player. I have run in front rockets, grenades, wraiths, ghosts, warthogs many many times and got betrayed. I didn't really care and didn't boot anyone. And the people who "betrayed" me were probably much better players than I. Stuff happens. Who cares?

This.

Quitting because you play too carelessly and kill your own team often enough to be consistently booted is stupid.

Play with people. Make friends who would forgive you for doing such a thing.
