So I was messing around in the level Winter Contingency (Forklifts FTW!) and when I viewed the game back in Theater Mode I happened to come across this.

Now, before you say "It's a Pelican" or "It's a Falcon" I would like you to take a look at the front of the vehicle first of all; notice how it has got something on top as well as the bottom? Next I would like you to look at the wings, they're smooth unlike the Pelican's corner wings and finally look at the back, it looks like it has got the same design as the Pelican engines but it can't be a Pelican due to the wings and the thing on top and the design at the back eliminates the likelihood of it being a Falcon.

So, ladies and gentlemen, I ask you this: what do you think it is?

It is not any of the following:

Falcon - Back and wings are different, no "gun turret" on top either.
Pelican - Whilst the back engines may be the same the wings on the Pelican are a lot more angular than smooth, no "gun turret" on top either.
Sparrowhawk - Both the back and the wings are different (Hawks have rotor blades), no "gun turret" on top either.
Vulture - The back on the Vulture is too big, it has no wings and no "gun turret" on top either.
F-99 Drone Fighter - Nothing on this is even remotely the same.
Sabre, Sabre pic 2- Several concepts for the Sabre, could possibley explain the back but not the wings and the "gun turret".

A bird. Or maybe even a plane.

It definitely ain't Superman.

Well it can't be anything related to Bungie's new game. That's for sure.

You never know, it could be as Bungie have Destiny Easter Eggs in Halo 3: ODST. But it is highly unlikely.

Hi,

No it is one of five aircraft made for reach that did not make the game. It is a concept image for the saber. it was base on the pelican.

Source? Because I have just linked the concepts for the Sabre and only the back is looking somewhat similar.

Oh yeah, since somebody does not believe what YOU believe; that makes us vapid...
I cannot grasp that what you call "Something happened to nothing, and that nothing became something, and it was smaller than than a period."

LOL. I feel happy now.

OT: I think it was just another concept that was cancelled.

Space Pelican?

Want a cool clan? Join FRAG!

Want a war sim? The best war sim in Halo, Forerunner Conflict.

It's a pelican. It doesn't look 100% like a regular pelican because it's a tiny monitor of no interest that most players won't even look at (much less go back in theater and inspect) and they didn't care enough to put that much detail in.

Go Mizzou. Don't fight stupid.

It b cool but i just don't know... maybe a pelican and a sabre and a falcon had a 3 way?

Pelican with a mouthful.

Why Bungie, why would you do this?! - Halo Community

Its a rough image of Reach's more detailed pelican; if it was actually a secret it would have been discovered a while ago.

global warming isn't proven and won't be - it's more of a political play for funding for "research"

Just another one of those planes that had multiple concepts and never made it into the game.

It's a flying Moa.

It's actually an upside down (appears to be) pelican.

Honestly, this is a good cover up for all the idiots who won't know its a cover up .

You may be looking at it wrong. You are looking at it from underneath.

However, if you are looking at it from above, it could be a Pelican flying to the upper-right. This would explain the turret, as it is just the simple chin cannon on all Pelicans. As for the weird "beak" on it, it could simply be a different model of Pelican.

I still want to drive it. Or the pelican.
