I say yes. It seems strange that the newer, more advanced armor would be unable to track your health. I think the health system could use a few changes though. Maybe you could pick up one health pack and carry it around, and once your health reached the red zone the health pack would activate. Or perhaps health packs would not heal you completely. One could heal 25% of your maximum health or something. Or a few health blocks.

It should, with same amount of shields' power. Here's why.

In halo 2, you snipe a guy, but hit him in his chest. Usually' his health would be blue, but barely, or yellow, depending on where you shoot. It's not. Let his shields regenerate, and shoot him in the chest again. In halo 1, he would be dead. In halo 2, he's not. Allow shields to regenerate, shoot him again, and he still won't die.

Why? Why not just make one.

Halo's a hell of a drug.

There's no difference. The H2 version is fine. I like how Steve Swanson titles every pole "The little things in Halo 3:"

Well, in the books, the MC always had some health packs with him, and could keep fighting through pretty much any non fatal wound. So it makes sence that he should be as resiliant in the games. Just lok at it this way, when youve been hit and are hiding, waiting for your sheilds to go up, thats the MC using his health pack. Also, the MC armor apparently has autmatic healers and stuff built in, so MC doesn't even need health packs.

I don't mind health being gone....with that said I miss knowing EXACTLY how much damage I can take. If you lose you're shields, you can still take a certain amount of damage, but have no visual of just HOW much damage you can take. A nice middle ground would be to increase shields a touch, then ANY damage taken after they are down would kill you. That way you would have an accurate visual reference for just how much damage you can take.

I still play Halo CE on XBC. I liked health, but it wasn't a big deal. If I was low on health and was near a health pack, I'd pick it up. But, it wasn't something I'd go across the map just to get unlike a power up or rocket launcher.

This has already been discussed, and voted for. Bungie doesn't like the health idea b/c it makes the game much faster paced, they have already said this. If you wanna discuss reality, its a video game and its not supposed to realistic just FUN. Also I will say it again, swanson, next time a little idea pops in your head, actually look through the forums for other threads with your same little idea, and post in it. Stop making so many BS threads.

Well, i have an idea to get rid of the health bar, but sill have a health status.

You get the shield bar, but then next to it is a circle. When you lose your shields and start taking damage, that circle changes color from blue with a good amount of health, to yellow with 2/3 to 1/3 of your health, to red from 1/3 to 0 health.

Health bar is ok I suppose, but no healthpacks. Once you're damaged you're damaged.

Actually, i really liked Health packs. It spead up the game making you worry about your health. That low, heartbeat sound, your heart racing as you charge to a healthpack that always seems out of reach until you get it. Good times, good times.

as I have told you before, t00fat, I am just gathering information about others' opinions. also, I have no time to look through 420 pages of threads just to see what has been discussed. Though this may seem like a foreign idea to you, some of us actually have lives, and do not spend time insulting others' thread ideas..
