You know how the MCs armour is supposed to have an odd, iridescent sheen to it? That could be simulated by giving the armour a ‘chameleon’ or ‘flip’ style paintwork, like you see on custom cars sometimes (and a few stock ones – TVR use it a lot). Basically it seems to be composed of two (or more) different colours, and depending on the angle you look at it, one of them shines through more. So you could give people the choice of two colours to make their armour up with, and up close the lighting effects could be amazing. And from a distance, you can tell players apart more as the overall effect of the two different colours would be visible – and there would be more visual combinations than there are with the standard colour system now. It doesn’t have to look unrealistic, over the top or garish – not that that’s a real problem anyway seeing as you can already have gold, white or pink spartans running around.
