I have some questions about the vehicle damage.
1. Will you be able to destroy the cars while no one is in the car? That would make sense but then if some one just ran into get the flag some one could take out their car while they are gone. It could be bad, but I hope (and am confident) Bungie will make it even.
2. Since vehicles will be destroyed, will they have vehicle respawn? They will need that if vehicles can be used more than basically once. But, vehicle respawn in the computer was done poorly in my opinion. I have seen some people have respawning cars fall on unexpecting people. I think they could improve this with a Pelican fly by and drop one with a parachute, or something.
3. Will you be able to repair minorly damaged vehicles. For example, if a warthog lost a wheel, could you pick it up and put it back on. Then if you saw some one you could hit them in the back with it. That would be pleasing.

I'm not sure if these are answerable at the moment. Give some ideas if you please.

I like how you can get into opponents cars. That will be cool.

The vehicles will probably be destructible at all times. The vehicle respawn is already fine people just need to look out better. No u will not be able to repair a vehicle most likely because how the say the wheel cam off is someone break the acile off. U would need a welder to do that. And I don't think having some glue will help lol

B.W.O FTW

In My opinion I think it would be pretty cool if you destroyed someones vehicle while there gone because that would mean that during capture the flag the peson getting the flag would need to have backup or be lucky very lucky.

And on the topic of vehicle respawn I inperson would like to see an excaping enemy suddenly get squished while hes carrying the flag.

And again on the topic of repair im pretty sure that there either.
1. going to make it so that it can be repaired or
2. no individual piece can fall of and that when the time comes the whole thing blows up

1) yes
2) yes
3) very unlikely

From what I've read from e3 reviews on IGN and gamespy, vehicles will take damage and even become a little more difficult to drive when damage, but they will never become non-functional before exploding. Someone could load a full clip into your hog's tire, but it wouldn't come off until the whole thing was finally destroyed. Bungie had a pretty big debate on this issue and settled for not being able to quickly disable vehicles (via tires, treads etc) from what I gather.

Ok I'm quoting this from IGN.com you can see the whole interview for youself at http://xbox.ign.com/articles/512/512807p1.html

IGN: How much attention did you pay to designing vehicle damage? Is it smarter to say, shoot a wheel out first? Can you be that specific with damage?

Parsons: What we didn't want to do is we didn't have vehicle damage affect the performance, so when you're driving a Warthog and your Warthog is massively damage, we don't want to have the fact that the tires are wobbling make it go slower or ruin the control. We thought it was important to maintain the control. A huge amount of planning went into how the vehicles were damaged. Not just visually what that looks like, but how that plays in gameplay. There's a primary explosion that knocks you out -- or kills you if your shields are down -- the fact that there's a secondary explosion that can take you out if you are anywhere around it. A ton of time has gone into figuring that out and a ton more work is going to go into figuring out how that works and how that manifests itself in gameplay.
