What?
Halo 3 should have rag doll physics but there shouldn't be limbs flying of the bodys. They should improve on the blood affects though.

Incorrect. "Ragdoll" is a physics model applied to characters that makes their limp bodies flop in a way that appears natural. Halo 2 has ragdoll physics; when see a body fall limply to the ground, or roll down a ramp, or flop off the edge of a cliff, that's ragdoll at work.

Halo 2 already has a pretty good ragdoll effect. Even do a backflip after getting sniped in the head? I

Halo really needs to update their ragdoll physics, they need hitman or source engine ragdoll physics, but no body limbs flying off, dont get me wrong extreme gore makes almost everygame better, but halo just isnt that kind of game

Ok then i am sorry about my lack of knowledge in this field. I guess then my real question for the polls should wheter or not halo 3 should have ragdoll phys that allow body limbs to go all over the place after damage to that certain area of the body.

Uhhh.shiska... Then how come bodies sometimes randomly bounce up. Anyone seen that before. Like when you kill a grunt. You see him on the ground and stopped moving. Then suddenly they shift their body.????

I don't like too much gore in games, sometimes it gets too far,and limbs flying everywhere isnt the type of thing Halo should have.Stick with the not very gory ragdoll physics.

ragdoll physics are the stuff u get in counterstike source that make the bodies limply flop everywhere naturally... but personnally i like the "swimming" animation that flying bodies have

Let me educate you. Halo 2 uses the exact same physics engine that is responsible for the ragdoll effects in Half Life 2, and CounterStrike Source. (the HAVOK engine) The Source engine is responsible for the architecture of the game, lighting, the amount of polygons, etc., etc. the game is capable of handling.

In regards to the poll. I don't believe that Bungie will give us characters that can be "de-limbed" and such, like in Soldier of Fortune.(at least not playable characters in multiplayer) Though Soldier of Fortune was quite entertaining because of that feature, I believe that the death animations in Halo are the best of any game and that they are so good, that it has become kind of an art by itself.

Meh... Halo's ragdoll is substandard. The bodies do not "flop", they are unbelievably stiff most of the time. And when the ragdol is dencent, and they corpses do flop, they usually get bent into a semi-sitting position against a wall and start twitching or they fly up again.

Also, Halo's death animations seem programmed, like they backflips and spins they do when dying. They look like they programmed to happen that way. This is evident in that there are always 15 bodies that die in the EXACT same pose.

Halo needs the ragdoll that Half-Life 2 (and CS:S) has, they give it a much more realistic feel, and they are entertaining, too.

Halo's a hell of a drug.

Isn't rag doll just the effect of the body flying through the air after being shot and each limb moving with its own physics? Halo 1 and 2 already have rag doll. I think your thinking to add in more gore and limbs, which Halo 1 and 2 had with the flood characters only.
