Those who have spent enough time with the franchise will know who Blue Team are. If not, I suggest you buy a few Halo books or Google it. Sorry.

I've often wondered if Blue Team will ever feature in the Reclaimer trilogy. But I'm not optimistic about it.

Despite Frankie stating, during a Halo 4 conference, that their story will be concluded at some point, it was never stated that this would be achieved through the new trilogy.

I would really like to see Blue Team finally come together in the trilogy. But I'm not sure it'll happen. Through the fact that Halsey may feature has boosted the chances of it happening.

What do you think?

We are all going to get banned aren't we?

nope. The spartan IV's are pretty much ODST's role wise but the spartan IIs would just take the spotlight from chief. not to mention they haven't been touched in TTW so they won't show up in halo 4.

I highly doubt Blue Team will be in the trilogy. 343i have already introduced a whole new cast of characters, they won't bring in even more. It'd be too much.

I think a big maybe...I am without a shadow of a doubt sure that they will not be in Halo 4 at all, but it could be possible that they'll show up with small roles in either Halo 5 or 6, or maybe even both *shrug* just have to wait and see.

The person who said participating is important, not winning, obviously never won anything.

We'll hear references from Halsey and stuff like that, but I highly doubt they will make appearance.

They are destined to novels, pretty much.

Well we know that the remaining Spartan II's and III's are pretty much forced (for lack of a better word) into the Spartan IV program, and in one of the Halo 4 trailers we do see some Spartan IV's with the Master Chief so it is possible that those Spartans could be Blue Team.

Nothing is set in stone at this point however.

Doubtful. Would imply ONI has a -blam!- brain.

Cause you know, having the literal most battle hardened, trained, best soldiers on infinity to defend it would be SMART. ONI post bungie-era can only be pants on head retarded.

I came for Halo, but I heard the Tru7h, fought thru Carnage, and stayed for Bungie.

Definitely not in Halo 4, but there's a good chance they'll pop up later on in the trilogy.

ONI? Wouldn't surprise me. They are turning into a more derp retarded Cerberus.

At least Cerberus would never supply batarian terrorists with weapons. ONI has no problems given weapons to the elites most likely to murder humans.

This.

I'm pretty sure when Frankie was asked this same question he said "not in Halo 4," but left it fairly open for them to return. I imagine that Kilo-5 book 3 will touch on Blue Team in the build-up to Halo 5.

Who says that was the truth? I hope he was lying, but he probably wasn't.

I wouldn't think so, maybe in 5 or 6.

"May God have mercy upon my enemies, because I won't."

I am merely a soldier in the massive army commonly known as the Internet.

Maybe as an Easter Egg.

If you're passionate about the thing you're talking about, I'll always lend an ear.

They are important characters in the original Halo canon. If 343i really wants to widen it's canon appeal to the older fans of Halo, they will be in the Reclaimer trilogy at one stage or another.

  • 09.05.2012 6:04 PM PDT

As a Halo fan, seeing John reunited with Blue Team would be right at the top of my most wanted list.

I hope it happens in some form or other in the games, and not as an easter egg. I'd love to see the interaction between them all. And Kelly's speed and reflexes. That would be amazing.

I think it further humanize the Chief as a character as well. While I don't think they'll feature in Halo 4, I suspect they will later on in the trilogy.

I'm expecting a Halo 5 appearance but I think Halo 4 will be strictly limited to Requiem, and Chief & Cortana, given the box art. Then again, there was a Halo installation in the background of the menu... and the Infinity will have a prominent role.

  • 09.06.2012 2:33 AM PDT

I enjoy halo for it's story and when I am in the mood, its gameplay. Reach was significantly worse then I expected but was still a great game (minus the european hitscan fiasco). I am sitting on a two mile wide fence on the subject of halo 4. Most of the things I like a technical aspects though and not story or game play. Plus I am slightly mad they took my elites from MP.

This thread makes me wonder what halo 5 will be like. I mean there is little innovating they can do for the feel of the game multiplayer wise, any changes would either be closer to squad shooters like COD, battlefield, space marine, bioshock 2 and all the others I can't remember/don't know; or the general feel will be closer to an arena shooter and halo CE to 3. Maybe we'll be stuck in a similar situation to COD with the reclaimer trilogy with the base and feel being the same with similar bells and a few new whistles?

And frankie said 343 already had plans for blue team and that they'll pop up somewhere in the trilogy.

  • 09.09.2012 4:36 PM PDT

Perhaps Blue Team will emerge in Halo 5 as the main protagonists of Halo 5's Spartan Ops...

I hope they make an appearance. I just hope that they are not going to be as annoying as the Noble Team AI's.

i fully expect them to appear at some point in the trilogy, however not Halo 4.
