Man of God. Fan of Bungie. Eater of many Jr. Bacon cheeseburgers.

Obviously we want Bungie to return to its former glory. We want the community to be active again and to bring this place back to life. What we often do is one of two things: We either say that Bungie should "set this up" and "do this" or we simply purpose it and never follow through with setting it up ourselves.
What I'm saying is I think we need to start organizing activity on our own. We can't just expect Bungie to create all the events for us. I know we're all busy with work and school but I think a majority of us can find time. I'm definitely guilty. We have the potential to make this a lot more fun. We just need to make an effort.

So you want community organised activities?

There are a few private groups dedicated to just such things.

They asked what I wanted to be when I grew up;

I wrote down happy.

They told me I didn't understand the assignment;

I told them they don't understand life. - John Lennon

I'll inform our Community President and the Flood Congress.

This. Besides, I think the community is rolling along fine as it is.

This whole... down time the community is facing is just part of a cycle. You may be bored or fear that the community is too slow. As soon as info about Bungie's next game drops you'll wish it was like this again.

Community Carnage group
They call me Arch. YOU SHALL NOT PASS!

Posting on the forums: 5 minutes.
Making a thread: 20 minutes.
Claiming you are the alt of a banned account: Priceless.
For everything else, there's stosh.

We got the Community ride along and Community Carnage events. Maybe what we could use is a bit more active and dedicated users, more events and more awesomesauce as a result.

Or even better yet have a Community carnage vs community ride along teams go head to head. No there's an idea.

This is the way the world ends,
This is the way the world ends,
This is the way the world ends;
Not with a bang but a whimper.

While B.net may have lost a few users of late, we are still plenty strong. That said, users also have real lives to worry about. It may be relaxing and fun to spend a half and hour or so on B.net, but real-world problems must take precedence.

Community: What do you propose?

OP: It's simple, we uh, get community involvement.

/darkknightquote

It's not as easy as you propose, but if it is something we can all get behind it can happen.

It is the soldier, not the reporter, who has given us freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us freedom of speech. It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, who has given us the freedom to demonstrate. It is the soldier, not the lawyer, who has given us the right to a fair trial. And it is the soldier who salutes the flag, who serves the flag, whose coffin is draped in the flag that allows the protester to burn the flag.Father Dennis Edward O'Brien, USMC

Just wait it out and be patient. This place gets boring in between games every time. Just got to learn to deal with it.
