The problem with incorporating more realism is that you have to find a point to stop at. People want body parts to blow up but do they want to go as far as one hit kills which would be truly realistic like Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six?
I think with more realism added the game would go into a completely different category. Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six is a strategy based FPS while on the other side there are games such as Serious Sam where you are godly with godly weapons laying waste to unsuspecting enemies with blood and gore flying everywhere. I would put Halo in the middle at a happy-medium with one-shot sniper kills and blood but no fall damage. I think this is why Halo is so fun it is a perfect blend of everything.

Also, since Mjolnir armor releases foam (talked about in Halo books, i just can't remember exact name or whatever) when pierced wouldn't that keep master chiefs body contained within the suit if not intact? Just some food for thought

i want realism in h3. realism IS what makes a good game.
No it's not. Katamari Damacy was one of the top selling games of all time, and it was a game about a mystical space prince who had to get some jewels back or some crazy crap like that. Anyway, it shows that people don't always value realism. Maybe YOU do, but since when are you the supreme video game judge?

Realism allows for suspension of disbelief with creates an environment in which you can lose a sense of self.

This is what you are trying to accomplish when you read a book, playing a video game or a sport. In essence you become the game. The game becomes your reality. When you are confronted by the impossible then your reality is broken, you are catapulted out of that what we commonly recognize as true "reality".

Don’t get mad if I flame you because you cannot spell, or because my three year old has better grammar and etiquette than you.

Wait so superheated plasma isnt in my blood? Yeah I know bud it was a very bad joke.

But the game isnt gonna be real, its based on the creators ideas and visions of a fictional universe. We are merely pawns executing the detailed order which is layed out for is in an awesome play of events.

Think you can change the order of Bungies things? I dotn think so.

Best game ever! Yeah!

Lots of gore and exploding heads does not make a good game. I think Bungie did a good job on the first two games, lots of gore would just make it dumb. The current level of blood is good enough. (As long as Bungie adds more than like 5 ways to fall over when you die)

If you want realism I can call up some people and shoot you to death after you die in halo. That could be realistic.
