Agreed. All the changes are good and add variety. Do we really want another Halo 3? Just running around with one gun and no armor abilities? It's good that 343 wants to try something new. Do we really want the same thing for three more games?

MR E0SNo one's going to take you seriously if you keep acting like a dick, and if someone treats you the same just ignore it. You don't have to take it out on a whole community for just what a few people said.

I would've taken this Thread a bit more seriously if it wasn't brought down to slurs and insults.

Trust me when I say a good majority of the community here, deserves every bit of my insults.

I could leave it out and speak like a normal person.

But...I'm smarter than you.

If you hadn't noticed. My methods DRAW ALOT OF ATTENTION!

Even though you say.. you're not taking it seriously. The seed was still planted.

My hope is one day, you allow that seed to grow. And come to a full realization of how much time you all wasted complaining about the minor -blam!-.

Halo could be headed in a much better direction. But you all are letting it continue to slide into oblivion.

Oh.. btw, Halo 4 still has bloom and jetpacks and....something even WORSE THAN ARMOR LOCK! That shield.. yeah. I can't wait to see the forums up in arms when that thing gets abused.

So all your efforts were for naught and accomplished jack -blam!-. Which is funny, because you actually got them to listen but wasted it on something stupid.

If you had to go back and make a choice between making changes to bloom or getting a server browser that allowed you to customize bloom. What would you have rather wasted your time on?

You obviously have drawn a lot of attention, but nothing is resolved or compromised.
You seem to be selfish and are only concerned with one part of the community. Where I care about the community as a whole. There wouldn't be one without the other. They both help the franchise grow, but catering to only one side doesn't help quality at all.

I've come to accept the community for their similarities and differences, but one is not more right than the other to be catered to.

Let me cover a few things, kind sir:

Definitely not smarter than Siffera here, and anybody who agrees or disagrees shouldn't get silly insults because just because you can swear online, doesn't mean you're a badass.
Secondly, you're clearly bad if you don't seem to care about any aspect of the game except matchmaking browsing and specifications.

Next, nobody cares about your methods, and we look at this as a joke to laugh at because you're making no sense. Hardlight shield may be stupid, but it's a lot better tham BK Lock. They say they fixed bloom, which I understand, bloom is an unnecessary factor to an arena shooter, because it just tips the scale in favor to people that don't understand the game quite well.

Also, stop using philosophical phrases, you look like a simpleton.+

If you cared about the community as a whole, you'd immediately realize the insult that bungie created when they created the quit ban. People quit because matchmaking is -blam!- horrible and puts people in rooms with people they don't want to play against, on maps and gametypes they don't want to play.

The moment you people realize the you have to stop forcing variety on people.. is the moment you'll realize you're not dealing with so many quitters anymore. Because they are getting to choose their preferred games. Instead of being told you must play with this 90% over here that likes these kinda games. because it would be unfair if we allowed you to consistently match and gain ranks playing against only 10% of people on the stuff you like.

Basically you don't like people like me being able to choose exactly what I want to play, because in some round about way you consider it boosting and I no longer become a worthy entity to compare stats against. WELL SO -blam!- WHAT!

I don't need to compare stats against you.
I don't need a matchmaking service that forces variety on me.

So ... who's more selfish.. The ones who are trying to force me to play stuff I don't want to play. Because they think MATCHMAKING IS -blam!- AWESOME! and nothing is wrong with it.

I'm not the selfish one. Server Browsers are the epitome of THINKING ABOUT EVERYONE!

Matchmaking, only caters to make sure that stacked teams get plenty of randoms to shoot at. Matchmaking -blam!-s over the solo player. That is selfish.

How the -blam!- do you get off in calling a server browser environment selfish?

You people really are -blam!- mentally handicapped if you like matchmaking and actually think it's superior to a server browser. It's the farthest thing from the truth.

And the only reason matchmaking has even survived as long as it has was because it was introduced with Halo 2. And everyone was all over Halo's nuts at the time.

Imagine any other game without the clout of Halo trying to introduce this random ass playlist matchmaking system back in the day. IT WOULD HAVE FAILED IMMEDIATELY!

You people are just too stupid to look past the franchise name to see that.

Come back when you learn how to debate correctly. Despite your post(s) and reasoning against certain mechanics. I'm not going to waste my time with some punk who tries to act tough over the Internet.

Refer to what I said earlier, and think about why a lot of people here dislike you.

Again with the petty insults. What you want is what you want, its not the truth, its your opinion that you are trying to shove down everybody's throat. Please accept when people say they dont like your idea because you are not changing anyone's mind.

What if?

Halo 2 when it launched... had launched with a serverbrowser.

And CoD was the one to first introduce Matchmaking as you know it.

And throughout the years they each stuck to their service.

Who do you think the king of FPS's would be right now today?
(Currently CoD is the king)

I gaurantee you if that scenario I just described were true. CoD would have never even survived long enough to make the first Modern Warfare.

Call of duty is only popular for its fast paced and easy game-play, not its matchmaking system.

Call of duty is king and has a bad matchmaking system, why arent the games that have server browsers the kings?

Because console players are too poor to afford a PC.. That's why. Because PC players are the only ones who still realize the superiority of a server browser.

Slowly but surely though. We PC players are getting -blam!- over by your 'consolized matchmaking services'. And I can't for the life of me understand why Relic doesn't seem to understand that their multiplayer for almost all their recent Warhammer games has turned to absolute -blam!- because of it.

You do realize there are more pc gamers in the world then there are console players right?

So if server browsing games are so great then why arent those games the kings?

WTF was that Sarge? That isn't even worth responding too. I shouldn't have even put this response.

What does the number of PC games have to due with the number of poor bastard who can't afford a PC have to do with anything?

Oh...nvm ok, I see what you tried to say. NO SORRRY!!! Console gamers have outnumberd PC gamers for quite some time now.

And I do not consider Facebook App players as PC gamers. Sorry. So your way off.

What you said was factually incorrect so i told you the truth and re asked the question because your answer was affected by your belief that console players are ruining pc games, even though the pc community is larger and virtually unaffected by what console developers do

So the fact that consoles do something differently then pc's doesnt mean that one is more correct then the other.

If server browsing games are so superior then why are they not kings? When in fact there are more players who could play those games to make them the kings vs the consoles which use a matchmaking system and have less people who can play console games?

There are under 200 million people that can be considered console gamers. Pc gamers alone outnumber console gamers by at least a 2:1 ratio.

Really?

I want you to go hop on Dawn of War 2. And look at how they decided to adopt the 'Big Red Easy Button' matchmaking service.

At the same time I want you to observe the little chat box down there they included in one of their updates. And pay attention to all the people complaing about not being able to find a game to play. Not knowing how many people are actually looking for a game to play, etc.

Don't tell me that PC games aren't slowely being polluted by consolitus. Cause it is happening. And matchmaking is the WORST thing to ever be ported into PC multiplayer gaming.

So because a developer tried to something new it was because of consoles. Please try to back that up with actual proof.

Dawn of war 2 has a great deal of problems besides the matchmaking system that was implemented.

200 million console players...

5 million Steam Users.

If you consider yourself a PC gamer you probably use steam. You most likely log into it at one point or another, even during peak hours, etc. And on AVG the most connected users hovers around 4 million.

2:1? huh? Where the -blam!- do you get your numbers. I doubt that 200 million is even anywhere close.

FY1 There are over 51 million registered steam users.

Steam is not the only place to play computer games. There are hundreds of millions of people that still use disks without using a digital distributor. It doesnt matter if you dont consider people who play facebook games to be pc gamers but if they play a game and its on a pc, mac, ect... they are pc gamers.
