Your time has come.

In the next 5 years I will be a cop its my long term goal.

Can forum ninjas and Bungie employees see censored text?

Like when I say the f word can they tell or do they just see blam?

They see everything! Even your mother.

No, but they can see into your soul and know what you intended to type, so it has the same effect.

Cortana 5 is a carbon-based lifeform that frequently visits these forums, currently residing in the United States. Practically every male on the site responds to her posts.

The Joyeuse IP Formula

I don't believe it filters over certain text, but instead actually changes the text. So when you post something that's going to get censored, that word is actually changed with "blam" so when you go to quote the text or edit the post, it shows "blam" instead of the filtered.

For science: -blam!-

EDIT: Success. The text is actually changed, thus moderators probably don't see the previous states of filtered content.

Well, here we are. I guess that it was destined to come to this.

Oddly enough, the reply/quote feature in PM's shows that the text is preserved and then re-blammed when sent.

I don't know about nested quotes, I've never cared enough to test, but would imagine that nested blams stay as blams.

They can read?

Oh, -blam!-...

But Cortana nailed it. Besides, what point is there in an administrator of moderator seeing your censored text? Either way, they don't mind as long as you don't try to evade the filter.

Question, do you actually save these quotes on your computer?

I store them in my quotéball bag.

Don't judge a book by its cover, unless it has bacon on the cover, then it is a good book.

Sometimes when we get PMs, the -blams!- in the PMs, when replying, switch back over to the whatever the word actually was, but then it's reapplied upon sending the PM.

It's weird.

That is quite odd. Why would PMs be subject to different censor rules? Is the censor code split into two parts? One for the forums and separate code for PMs instead of one code for the entire site?
