Subject: After reading through some of the old 'Average Joes'...

"There's daggers in men's smiles." - Donalbain, Macbeth, Act II, scene iii

... I must inquire: what happened to these little excavations into the minds of Bungie.net's humble individuals?

Case and point: don't worry about it. Girls start getting boobies pretty soon, and then you'll have plenty of other things to think about. Being an Inheritor is not a life goal.

I think DeeJ said it's because they were Urk's thing. I don't know exactly why, but I'm sure someone will find a link.

Regardless; what's preventing DeeJ from picking up the mantle and starting to interview the members again?

Back in the day, the Average Joe was as well-known and well-received as the Mail Sacks. They also gave us a look into the members who stood by our sides and daily graced the forums with their presence.

I may be the only one saying this, but I'd really like to see the resurrection of the Average Joe.

You're not the only one, I agree with you.

I too would love to see them return.
I think DeeJ said he'd bring something along the lines of the Average Joe article back when the darkness is lifted. But with his own unique touch to it.

Positive vibes.

Truthfully, I haven't the slightest clue why they stopped interviewing people for the Average Joe articles; but it would be delightful to see them return.

They prefer them on the front page with a gold thread.. Community Projects should have a blue septagon next to them.

Back when the Average Joe articles stopped Urk made a request in the then-closed Average Joe group for more people to interview. It does seem a little odd that Urk stopped producing the articles (especially considering that most of the content was predominantly written by the "Joe"). When communication between Bungie and the fan base sparks up again I'm certain more people will see the spotlight.

I like the idea. And personally I take organized Community Projects just as serious as Bungie things. ;)

Haha shame not everyone does 'erugh no gold' haha. Anyway a Blue one would be awesome. Be tricky to do though unless the thread had to be verified by Ninjas ect.

I could see this happening and not happening. Not happening because they'd have to put in a code that allows all members with the title of 'mythic' to have the blue septagon, and may have to allow room for the 'bouncing' between new titles.

Happening because I said so, and because we all want it.

UO, you have to read closer. He wasn't saying Mythics should get a Blue Septagon. He was saying that Official Community Projects that are recognized by Bungie should get it to help the thread stand out.

Imagine, back in kindergarten, when your teacher would put a really awesomesauce sticker on your A+ assignments.

It's kind of like that.

So much has changed since I did mine...it's completely irrelevant at this point for the most part.

I was an exalted mythic when I did mine but I became a ninja before it was posted. :p

That was the least of the differences, though.

Oh, give me a break, Lobby. I'm dyslexic, makes it super hard to focus on what he's exactly talking about. All I got out of that was "Community Project, recognition, bungie"

So I put together "The Community Projects should get recognition by allowing some mythics to post the project and get a blue star next to the thread, so it's official."

Following that train of thought, shouldn't BUNGLE itself just be an uber blue star?

Same here. Just about everything is different at this point, hah.

I remember... in mine I talked about how I was going on a trip to China in August. I sent it to Urk when he sent me the form in like... May.

He posted it the day I got back from my trip, literally an hour or so after I got home. I thought it was pretty funny.

Nothing. Well, nothing but darkness.

The thing that makes a gamer the most interesting is their relationship with the game they love to play. Right now, I am not supporting a game. I am supporting a community in waiting for a game.

Some day Soon(TM), we will invade a whole new universe together. Your voices will be crucial in that space, and I will amplify as many of them as I can. For the time being, we are keeping each other company in the waiting room.

Your voices will be crucial in that space,
Confirmed: Bungie's next game takes place in space. And there is sound. This means either the characters have made air... everywhere in space (oh God... the consequences... physics would crumble and burn and we would all die in a blaze of fire!), or they're taking the Star Wars approach and adding sounds just because it's cool. Or it's a Kinect game.

Discuss.

... What? Don't look at me like that. We have to entertain ourselves somehow!

In other words, we are all pieces in your plan to make a giant megaphone of light to expel the darkness in one massive explosion?
