we all know that halo 2 for the Vista will have a map editor
wouldnt it be a great idea for halo 3 for the 360 to have one too!!
it would bring even MORE of hundrends of hours of gameplay to eveyone, to be able to customize the levels.
what do you guys n girls think?

If they'll have it in Halo 2 Vista, then it better be in Halo 3.

Nah map editors on consoles almost always suck unless its simple like a skate park game but on first person shooters it is different you have to put vehicle spawns weapon spawns. Map editors should be limited to pc. Anyways there would be so many noob maps out created by 8-10 year olds that it would be hard to find which ones were good and which sucked. By the way halo 2 vista is on pc. And map making is more complicated then just put object one here put object two there. The one for vista is going to take time to be able to learn how to use it like halo custom edition maps you are going to have to have your own skins unless it comes with default skins and then you have to run radiosity (its a -blam!-).

actually i didnt think the Far Cry editor was great, if anyone played Delta Force Land Warrior for the PC, if any of you had the map editor for that, thats what kind of map editor we need!!! a little complacated so the kids cant make n00b maps but once you get it down, you can make GREAT maps

Don’t get mad if I flame you because you cannot spell, or because my three year old has better grammar and etiquette than you.

This is the millionth thread like this Read BEFORE psoting please.

AND my answer is still NO.

Here is why.

You wouldnt be able to use them in ranked MP matches anyhow, and if it were included and used in NON-Ranked games there would be THOUSANDS floating around out there and it would be virtually IMPOSSIBLE to start games waiting for people to load maps and download them too. It really slowed things down in FarCry and made playing games a royal pain.

I would rather see Bungie spend more time Making more MP maps than working on a map editor or the other stupid idea...bots.... *shudders*

I agree with marsman. There would just bee too damn many maps to sort through. Normal MP maps made by professionals is good enough for me.

Besides, Bungie might even come out with a H3 map pack. I would MUCH rather have that than -blam!- maps made by 10 year olds.

thats true, when everyone is downloading a map at the same time from the host it does slow things down a lot, but what if bungie made a process of getting the maps, and like i said before making the map editor a little complex so lil 5 year olds cant make a million of the same maps. but i think bungie has a great way of doing things and maybe they can think of a way to do this!

no i dont like the idea of a map editor, as it makes the maps bungie made less important.

i like predictability in maps, not random ones, totally one sided maps and so one

Ubisoft made a great map editor for FarCry Instincts on the Xbox, so I'm sure Bungie could. It would also be great grounds for Xbox Live competitions etc. Then playing on Live wouldn't be as boring since you can play on custom maps.

An H3 map editor? On XBox 360, it wouldn't work so well. Since you need a hard drive to even get the maps.

If they were to make a map editor/maker for H3, it'd have to be on the computer.
