Am I the only one seeing them constantly misspell practice?
Doesn't matter to me, I'm far too hipster for this. I mentioned programmers in this thread before it was cool.

Can we find some 7s now?

Missed a little bit, reworked the python script and came up with the finished result.

Most engineers who practive computer science pragmatically repeatedly go with the common practive and leverage ones and zeroes to pen their programs. Generating code like this generally is a pretty well-founded pattern to employ. On the flip side, Bungie is not your typical engineering group. We write programs without ones. Our people do not like the number. Why? Well, there are greater, grander numbers to apply for our wily craft. Mayhapy you disagre, perchance you agree. What matters is that seven is more awesome than one will ever imagine itself to be. And so, we code with ample sevens, not ones. Fact: Programs packed with sevens are more awesome than pithy programs that apply ones. Zeroes? Well, we still think they're good. Pretty palatable. We grapple with zeroes all the time. Even now. Yes. Here. Can you people see them? Right her in this long text? Pause to take a long look. Perchance this has been a wily gambit all this time? Well, polish those thinking caps. You have ample numbers to find. Have some fun! Stay happy.

Now you can stop the clock. And no, i didn't have to look at the other answers people posted about the rest of the code, I knew there was something wrong in the first place after that result.
You're not done yet.

WHY IS EVERYONE SCREAMING THE ANSWER?!

because it's not the answer and it's also how they give it to use, capital hex, capital letters in ascii.

WHY IS EVERYONE SCREAMING THE ANSWER?!

Because that's what the answer is in? They didn't do lowercase, it's all coming out as upper-case in ascii when you convert it.

I wish I was that smart with computers. Where are all the 7s? 7 is darker.

  • 09.07.2012 7:44 PM PDT

In the text "practive" is supposed to be "practice", "mayhapy" is supposed to be "mayhaps", and her is missing its "e"

Maybe we need to do something with the letters v,c,y,s, or e? I'm all out of ideas.

Edit: and as for Phfor007 pointed out, disagre missing another "e"

There's 21 zeros in the original big block of text. If you "repeat" counting them you get 42.

/shrug, I felt like I should post something after spending way too much time thinking about this when anything I could've thought of to do would've never gotten me that first part.

Edit: 21 may be totally wrong, I was relying on my iPhone to "find" them but I don't know that it was checking the whole thing.

The only word I can make up from the letters is "sycee" which is some kind of Chinese currency. Any other letters we may be missing?

I do believe pen should be OPEN. We need a perfect copy of the text you get from it. No spell checks.

LobsterWho copied all the text and put spaces in it? I closed all my stuff out when I saw users had it up. Let us not jump through spell checks or post edits until we know there is nothing there. Like Lobster said, anybody got the copy unedited quickly available?

No one has put up the EXACT version you get when you decipher the texts properly. There is a bunch of spell checking and whatnot, someone needs to post the version you get simply from deciphering.
