Well, im not exactly sure because i dont have any of the books nearby me at the moment...But, Remember in one of the books when some of the spartans were hiding from the covenent and they were protecting Dr. Halsey...She had Extra/new armor, but not enough for everyone to repair and help them out, remember one of them getting new gloves, dont think it was the MC correct me please, but i believe that since the trailers MC has new gloves that it could possibly be the spartan that had gotten new gloves from Dr. Halsey?

There is more differences in his armor then just his gloves.

Actually, they are. Bungie signed off on everything. However, they were written to enhance the game. I don't, however, think that the books have any influence on the story of the games.

I the books, thise pieces of Mark VI armor, which the masterchief has in Halo 2.

And Joseph Staten said that players should take the books as defining elements in the Halo universe,so yes,the books are related.

I still can't belive there still are people who think that Nicole is a part of the Halo universe and will make an appearance in the Halo games, that the books are not related to the game, what are the books about again? oh yes, barbie, that's what they are about.

I belive that the new parts in the books are parts for the Mark VI armor, as the spartans are upgraded before Halo 2 and before Masterchief got his Mark VI, also the new weapons are there.

Mark VII armor would make sense considering Bungie's favorite # is 7

abstract point, but could you all please refer to the "chief" as the masterchief and not master chief but masterchief? John 117's rank is Masterchief, not Chief.
