Oh yeah...

Most of the juicy drama was in the H3 days... good memories

@spaboolly

Even if there was, people tend to think of drama as a bad thing. Why would we want to recount it and bring it up for discussion?

  • 09.08.2012 4:26 PM PDT

I didn't realize that drama could occur on the internet.

  • 09.08.2012 4:27 PM PDT

Were you here when Reach came out?

I could link you to a couple drama threads but its not worth it. Drama sucks.

The name's Ian, Game Designer at Whisper Game Studios, very off-and-on Bungie.net visitor and avid Bungie fan overall. Message me if you wish.

Corrected...

Just before the H3 beta and into the release of H3 was a huge onslaught of "cliques" within Bnet from what I remember. Kids like me at the time tended to steer clear of those groups.

The forums were also filled with a hell of a lot of hostility between members, a lot of ignorants decided to pick fights with users because of their desire to prove to themselves that they were right simply about the fact that the BR was returning. If they were wrong about something like the needler being dual-weildable, they would just start nonsensical arguments about random things like "going outside more than any other user on here".

Though the forums did have a lot of good threads as well. It wasn't completely hostile, some users in it just tended to be. The IRIS days were the most fun I've ever had on the internet in my life. The community literally came together in one big friendly group for a common goal and there were very few times of hostility within those groups. It was awesome.

TDCR

I'm hoping for a similar event with Destiny.

That half-shirt must bring back some painful memories?

In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

Just an Average Joe...

Oh boy, you don't know the half of it...

The Great Dragon Famine of '11 was a disastrous year. Thank goodness the wonder and majesty of Dragons hath returned in 2012.

Updating the Spartan when Reach came out.

Well, there was the group conqueror back in 09-10, and the battle between some sucky group and some overly elite moronic group (that one was actually pretty funny). Oh, great memories. :)
