Not only does it cut the variety of enemies in half at a stroke, we also lose enemies that have defined Halo so far - Elites, Grunts and Hunters.

So RK, you are saying that you would rather have gameplay than story? (just asking)

Don't get me wrong, I would still like for the gameplay to be awesome. I just think that we need to move on with the story.

the arbiter never had a chance to kill the chief too, when he was in the clutches of gravemind he was upside down most of the time and was teleported away from chief, realisticly i think the arbiter is gonna stab chief in the back, but chief will quickly turn round smack the butt of huis new rifle in his head.

edit-not the second poster the thread creator

Please refrain from posting - you're offending me.

If you don't want to follow a discussion, don't reply.

As for the thread, I reckon MC and the covvies will team up - until one over zealous grunt shoots MC in the butt, forcing him to retaliate by kick some whiny covenant bootay :p

Yes, I suppose I rate the gameplay above the story. The feeling each encounter in the game gives you is worth far more than the background upon which it is hung, in my opinion. That is just context. It gives the gameplay meaning, but it has not meaning in itself.

Location: Outlaws' Summit.

lets try to keep this a discussion and not a flame fest..........

that bein said, welcome to the halo 3 forum socalmitch (do you go to USC by chance??)

in this forum you will find those with bright minds and those so stubborn and set in their way you wonder if they kick off each day by crappin bricks......

that bein said, if youre flamed, try not to flame back as thisll upset the moderators and result in the thread bein locked or worse- you end up with a ban
good to have you here. this forum needs more ppl with good ideas who'll actually listen to others

*now about the topic: an alliance between the humans and the other half of the covie would seem like how things may go- not sure how many of you know this, but the elites actually respect the humans as competetors and if they had any say, the humans would indeed be part of the covenant.
as much as i like the idea, heres some problems with it:
-the elites, hunters, grunts are locked in a civil war above HC and a flood infested environment. i doubt theyll have the time to regroup and collect themselves because it seems everyone is being slaughtered
-there are only johnson and keyes representin the humans at that battlefield. i doubt them working with the arbiter means an alliance between the elites and the other humans
-.....no one knows where earth is..........tho keyes made the slipspace jump, she doesnt have a clue where the heck they are. the only being that knows whats goin on is GM, and at this point id say he's one of the bad guys

id keep goin but then that would make too long a post for interest. hope this thread can turn into an intelligent discussion

welcome to the forum mitch !!! (its interesting to say the least ...)
