Gonna add my own complaint! Suspended, NO idea why! No-one to contact, no way to appeal or complain, no reason given. Getting pretty sick of em pretty quick
You had to bump this just to complain about you getting banned there?

After the Bungie.net Halo forums were removed, all the idiots in the Reach board migrated to Waypoint. 'tis now a wretched hive of scum and villainy.

Wait, the Halo forums on bungie.net were removed?

What trickery is this?

In unrelated news, applying the word "hate" to a web site that contains a lot of people who essentially love the same thing you do (I'm talking Halo; get your mind out of the gutter) seems rather stupid.
Never thought I'd join the quote mania but Achronos said exactly what I was thinking.

I don't mind waypoint forums. I go there for information on a game I like playing.

I have never been banned from there. At the same time I don't log into forums with the sole purpose of trolling other members or trash talking for the sake of going with the crowd.

I read in this thread over and over that if you say anything negative about 343 or Halo you get banned.
Untrue! It's all about presentation.
I read a rather lengthy thread by A3LeggedGoat on waypoint about how CTF could have problems based on the new features added.
Instead of saying "it's gonna suck now" He actually constructed a well thought out argument on the problems that may arise. Stating what the problems were in his eyes, reasoning why, and possible solutions.

My suggestion is quit being children and crying when you don't get your way immediately. Think things through before typing and be analytically prepaired for those who disagree. Also stay open minded to suggestions to strengthen your case instead of just retaliating with "your a moron" for not agreeing 100%.

Be sure to tell everyone how cool you are. If you don't tell them, they won't know.

Because Bungie fanboy hard-ons.

Because Bungie fanboy hard-ons.
The mods there lack intelligence.

If I am not posting, then I am reading what you might have posted.

I don't hate them, I actually love them, but Bungie is my hero!

The mods get so offensive when you criticize the game, they'll just ban you. Everything is "non-constructive", they have got to have the most brain dead staff I've ever seen. Just got banned yet again for good for posting "spam". Taking about lag in the game in now spam? Worst forum ever, seriously.

I'm 23, I have a house, dog, girlfriend, job and I have no interest in any fanboyism so if you're thinking about sending me a childish PM, don't be surprised when I don't call back.

Fanboys everywhere.

Having read all of this, I seem to notice an almost constant trend to compare their site/forums/moderation/community to ours.

Why?

They are a different company, run by different people, and who are attempting to make a community that they want to come to their site.

I don't see how/why they should attempt (or any visitor should expect) any other site on the Internet to be Bungie.Net 2.0.

Can someone please explain why this appears to be the case for those who are unhappy with their experiences there? I know that there are thousands of people who are unhappy with their experiences here (I have the PM's to prove it) and I would assume that most of that disappointment stems from them expecting this place to be "just like this other site I visit and like".
I'll answer this one for you...

Ont of the things that determines a product's quality is how well it satisfies a user's expectations. One of the things that users tend to base their expectations on is "comparable products". This is particularly true for software products that are heavy on user interfaces (like a website).

It shouldn't be any big stretch to realize that Bungie.net is a comparable product to Halo Waypoint. Indeed, the two sites have almost the exact same target audience. I would even go so far as to say that Halo Waypoint is likely to be the successor to Bungie.net by some (those who are only interested in the Halo franchise).

All this is just to to say that I think it is very reasonable for people to base their expectations of Halo Waypoint on what they've experienced at Bungie.net.
