No, we are just wishing him and his fellow marines the best of luck, and mentioning our disapproval of the cause.
I was observing that politics were only being approached, not discussed. All it would take is a single comment to the second part of your statement.
I would consider (and this is just my opinion) the first part to be a admirable and very beneficial act. I too wish nothing but the best of luck and safe return to all who serve.
The second part, (again, only my opinion) is not political as long as everyone shares your disapproval. If someone were to offer an opposing view, it will then have indeed entered the realm of political discussion. And tainted the noble intent of the first.
Well, I'm not about to turn this into anything it shouldn't be and I see your point. Oppinions, however, are ment to be shared. That's what a forum is all about. I can deffinatly see how you could see some of these comments as political, and yes, that should be avoided.
