Subject: Issue With Username Change

I acknowledge my user name is stupid. However, I promise I'm not.

Disclaimer: The latter is a lie.

If I change the e-mail address of this account, disconnect my gamer tag to this Bungie.net username, could I begin a new account using both my former e-mail address and gamer tag?

Sorry if I worded the question poorly, but i'm feeling a tad stupid, at the moment.

Edit: Spelling error

I suppose it would be possible. You'd have to change the email used for your current WLID on Passport.net, then create a new WLID with the current email to make the new account here, then change the WLID associated with your Gamertag.

EDIT: I hope this makes some kind of sense.

You need to word your question better. If you put your gt with a different e-mail then the GT will be linked to the new email. This username won't have anything linked to it. I've changed my email before but that was a long time ago so things could have changed.

More sense than what Bread is posting, at the moment.

Thanks a lot, mate :)

No bread, no! Bad bread! You're better than this.

OT: Your bungie.net profile automatically links to your gamertag if the e-mails match; If you change your e-mail for your Xbox LIVE account, you will need to change your e-mail here.

I hope...I said that correctly.

There may not be a "I" in team, but there is a "I" in Win.

No.

We aren't here to ruin your experience (Well Qbix is).

Technically, yes. As Antony stated, just make a new WLID account and gamertag and such. Link it to the original profile and then make the new account with the new stuff.

That is not a name change, it's a new account, thus any standing he has within the forum, whatever rank he holds, is gone, and won't come back until he meets the requirements all over again on the new account.

So to answer the OP, can you change your name? No. not currently.

My name is Mark Mezzetta and I was a beta tester for Bungie's game Oni and Take Two's game Myth 3: The Wolf Age.

Slightly off topic and probably a stupid question, but can Bungie edit lower cases to upper cases to any of the letters in ones user names? For example, Pfhor007 instead of pfhor007.
