Just and idea........Id like to know what everyone thinks about it. With all the problems of derankers , modders , and the pesky people who love to commit suicide or betray lets hope Bungie comes up with a new way to rank gamers. Id like to see rankings based off of a point system. Example : 1 point for every kill , 1/2 a point for every assist , -1 for every death , -5 for suicides and -10 for betrayals. So lets say John had 15 kills , 5 assist , and 9 deaths , his score would be a 8.5 points. Now you ( Bungie ) have a point scale with levels assigned to them. Say for example every 25 kills is a level , it would take him atleast 2 games to level up. If you happen to string a couple bad games together and go negative , your going to lose points and go down a level. So the concept of raising and lowering a level will still be in effect. This is just an idea. You could of course increase this number of kills to level up. Then if you wanted , you could give bonuse points for your team winning but your overall ranking will solely depend on your average kills per game. This would help end the circle boosting and make people play fairly if they wanted a good ranking. Bungie also needs to improve on finding a way to track and catch modders and griefers alittle better. I cant count how many levels Ive lost due to being stuck with these people in matchmaking. If you have any suggest or comments , please respond to this topic or email me at vader_77@msn.com . Thanks to everyone who took the time to read my rambling.

dont give ranks, just hand out medals, and on you GT profile people can judge your skill by how many medals you have, ranks mean nothing.

this wont work also because ppl will get together to give each other medals.you would know wat i mean if u ever played Q4(360) and checked the leaderboards or if u ever participated in a ''boosting'' session.

Don’t get mad if I flame you because you cannot spell, or because my three year old has better grammar and etiquette than you.

I guess you dont have a 360 yet otherwise you would know about the different ways you can leave complaints. Or you could have just read it on the xbox website.

I would have to say the 360 has a good system for that in place and it wont be an issue, not as big of an issue anyhow.

Lets say Bungie decides to keep this matchmaking system...I won't buy it, but lets say I did. I want to play a playlist like Team Hardcore. But, I don't like objective games with small teams. So, I quit out of all the objective games trying to get to a slayer game (which is exactly what I do now). Does that mean I'm going to get a bad ranking? It's not my fault Bungie made multiplayer with no choice in what you play.

Whoever said ranks means nothing is wrong. In HALO 2 ranks mean nothing. Before the cheating started in halo 2 the ranks were actually quite accurate..if you put a lvl 25 vs. a level 31 chances were the 31 had more experience and an overall more skilled player. Now cheating has gone rampant and the ranks are all screwed up they mean nothing. Ranks need to be there, they are part of online gaming...it gives a purpose of getting better and a competitive gaming experience. If cheating was stopped or almost stopped...and the ranks monitored (expecially the leaderboards) ranks would mean a lot. If it was a known rule that your past games WERE going to be checked and let it be known top leaders are being deleted for cheating...many would stop.
