But when you play you observe new stratergies etc. So technically the answer is no. Unless you play with your eyes closed again in which case is no.

Want a cool clan? Join FRAG!

Want a war sim? The best war sim in Halo, Forerunner Conflict.

Can someone get better without practicing/playing? Of course not.

Can someone get better without observing? Yes, but only so much. It's important to understand what other players are doing and why they're doing it, and observing and studying gameplays is a great way to improve.

Can someone get better without those tip vids? Absolutely. There weren't any tip vids for Combat Evolved. Players had to figure things out themselves. Of course, since the tips are at your disposal, why not give 'em a listen? You never know when a player has something interesting to say.

Observing is like formulas in math, you could go by without them, but it's easier if you know. You can't hope to discover everything by yourself though, so observing is a must.

I play games for gameplay, not silly gimmicks

H3 MM warrior

Reach S7, 8 and 9 arena warrior.

H4 MM legend

that was easily the worst constructed paragraph I have ever seen.

"To me, a nice triple kill with the sniper is infinitely more impressive than any Living Dead Killionaire"

Does flaming people on forums count as an esport?

I'm a commendation/achievement/statistics freak.

I believe that by watching a player who thinks tactically smart and makes good decisions, an observer can learn a lot. If they're sitting right next to me I can also tell them what I'm doing, where the enemy will spawn, weapon timers, and other helpful information. I can describe how to the tactical jump or why I strafed how I did, but at a certain point they have to pick up the controller, do it themselves, and get the muscle memory.

TL;DR- They can only improve so much.
